KAT’S POV
An explosion of bright lights came into my view turning into blackness that consumed me a second after. What was that? I don’t know, all I know is that I need to make sure my babies are okay.
ALEX’S POV
The whistle blew and everyone stopped immediately, while a gasp left the crowd. I searched around, confused as to why everyone was panicking and yelling. I caught a glimpse of what looked like a piece of Kat’s long dirty blond hair. I started silently chuckling, knowing that she wouldn’t just sprint into a 300-pound runner back. I turn to Jodi, Lauren, and the rest of the cheerleaders to make sure and saw them all crying or jolting towards the paramedics that had arrived a few minutes ago. I heard barking and a little squeak that sounded like a kitten trying to meow. Then it hit me. “SHIT!” suddenly came out of my mouth before I could stop it and my feet acted as if they had a mind of their own as they maneuvered through the crowd of people. Kase was by her gurney as they pulled her into the ambulance and Zeus was on her lap, scratching or hissing at anyone trying to get him off. Pretty much flying to my black 2014 Ford Mustang I got in. Mason was catching a ride in Hannah’s convertible as I was driving past the speed limit to the hospital.
Once I arrived I already saw that Lauren and Jodi were with Kat in one of the hospital rooms ‘they must have rode with her’ I thought. Entering room 213, I watched as tears rolled down Jodi’s face, Lauren had a blank mask on but you could see the tears that were trying to escape her brown eyes, Kase was whimpering by her bed, and Zeus just rested there on her stomach sleeping soundly. We all kind of looked at each other and started laughing. I don’t even know why. I guess it was because we still didn’t know how Kat always got into the messes.
