The greatest sacrifice is when you sacrifice your happiness for the sake of some else. - unknown

Third Person P.O.V.

Birds were chirping happily, as the sun rays shone down onto the evergreen grass of the Shadow Gradens. Colors and colors of flowers were splashed onto the green flowerbed. Iridescent blues and greens were spread throughout the lefthand side of the magnificent garden, while the more warm colors were onto the righthand side. Paths of stone were as long as it could get, spreading throughout the garden, patches of green peaking out of the little holes in the stone pathway.

Blade-like leaves clung to branches as their moss green colors swayed with the wind, creating ripples of green and brown that look ever so beautiful. Tangled thickets of thorn accented the gorgeous flowers that layed at the flowerbeds, colors blending with colors. Branches drooped dankly as the wind swayed them.

Rushes of water were heard as the long river that cut through the garden splashed onto the flowerbeds and moved on. Murky brown wood joisted the bridge which crossed to Ivory Falls. It is believed that Ivory Falls is a waterfall that produces ivory white water, a complementary from the Moon Goddess herself blessed her direct descendants. The Falls is also believed to be able to heal anythin, but no one can become near to the Falls, not unless their from the Lycan Royalty.

Lorena Blackwell hadn't ever in her life seen such beauty, but today, not today. Her mind somewhere else. All that she could think about is the beautiful child of hers in her hands. She clung to the baby girl that meant her life.

The girl is like a snapshot out of time. Lorena can see her brownish black hair blowing in the spring breeze, her youthful face turned toward the sun. Though her feet are small, she still dances, dances like the joy of life within her cannot be tamed. In that royal blue dress, she could be anyone, no-one. But to Lorena, she is the world itself and without her, she cannot enjoy a simple flower or the rising sun. There is nothing Lorena or her husband wouldn't do to keep her safe from harm, but they cannot protect her forever. They can only be there when she falls and stand well back while she reaches for the stars.

The group of people who accompanied the Blackwells, Lorena and Silas, walked in front of the mourning couple and their beautiful baby. The little girl was smiling, laughing with no care in the world. Not realizing danger is just around the corner. The Ivory Falls came into view and Lorena realized that it will be happening, that it is real. It took everything in her not to sob, for she was a High Lady, and they do not show weakness but represent strength.

She grabbed onto the little girl's chubby hands, clinging to them as the little girl locked up to her mother, dark brown hair flying every where because of the wind.

Lorena was approached by Isla Forbes, the Luna Queen but also her best friend. Pity and sympathy was written all over her face as she placed a warm, comforting hand on the ebony black haired woman's shoulder. Isla could not imagine how it feels like to be in such a position, her baby boy and girl were her whole world. "It is for the best and for her safety, Lorena." Lorena nodded at Isla's words, not trusting her voice for it owuld break at the mention of what will occur.

Lorena breathed heavily as she walked over to the witch, Davina. Davina started to chant, first three fingers from her right hand placed on the little girl's forehead.

Suddenly her eyes opened, white filled all of it without any trace of the vibrant green that used to reside there. When she had started to speak, her voice was solemn, "She will bring destruction to this world, and she cannot be stopped."

Everyone present gasped. Lorena was hoisted up by her husband, Silas, for she could not handle seeing her little girl standing there. She was just an innocent girl, someone that is not capable of destruction.

"And there is no one strong enough to stop her. But only she or her mate could change that path, for she is very powerful." Then the white in Davina's eyes suddenly disappeared and she struggled, breathing hard.

Lorena ran to her daughter, checking for any sort of impairment on her. Her heart was beating fast in milliseconds as she hugged the little girl.

Alpha Tristan Forbes stood in front of the small herd of people he called his friends. Clearing his throat, he spoke with his authorative, alpha voice, "Tomorrow on the full moon this girl will be sent out to the outside world. I do not care where, but I want her out of my pack. Disperse." Lorena sobbed into her child's shoulder as she had still not come to an agreement on the obvious fact her daughter may not be able to live with her.

Silas approached his broken, delicate wife with such fragile touches, he was afraid she might burst and let her anger out.

"Lorena, love, let's go home." Lorena stood up, head high, and looked towards her husband that seemed proud at her actions. She grabbed his hand and her daughter's hand with another and started walking home.

She knew that there was no other fate for her daughter. She knew that to keep her safe, she had to let go. If you don't sacrifice for what you want, what you want will be the sacrifice.

The vibrant full moon was up in the sky, mocking them as they walked through the bushy forest that was part of the Lycan Pack territory. Everyone here walking with the Blackwells' kept glancing at them, but were only met with solemn expressions.

Isla could not stand what her husband and mate thought he could do. The Blackwells' were they're friends, and they were betraying them. She looked towards the little dark brown haired girl, seeing her smiling and playing with the little doll she had in hand.

They approached the big silver bouldee that was the end of the borders. The border could not be seen but could be felt, and Lorena realised when she felt the border, there was no going back. She closed her eyes and squatted to face her daughter. "Mommy?" The little girl inquired, tilting her head to the side as she saw th tears streaking down her mother's face.

Lorena shook her head, and forced a smile. She could not do anything now, her baby girl will be taken. Silas' grip on his wife told her that he was feeling the same pain as her.

Davina took the little girl's hand and looked up to Lorena and Silas. "I will take care of her, I will take her to somewhere safe." They nodded at her words, for they knew that Davina waa nothing less than honest. The little girl and the witch startdd to exit the territory.

Then suddenly, Lorena ran to her daughter. Silas could not hold her back. She squatted to face her, placing a necklace that had a pendant of the sun and moon around her neck.

"Be brave, stay strong and never give up, my Selene." And off they went, taking Selene away from her family and friends.
