A person who falls and gets back up is much much stronger than a person who never falls. - Lorena Blackwell
Selene Sinclair's P.O.V.
From centuries ago, vampires and werewolves have had a feud going for a very long time. It started small, like every conflict did, but it escalated. It became more than a conflict. A war broke out, devastating results were all that the world could see.
It was greatly affective that people, normal human beings, were almost exposed to our world, the supernatural world. They did not know of our existence, thinking they were living a world of normal biologically reason. But what they believed lurking around the forests at night were just bedtime stories for kids to enjoy, they did not know that those stories were partially true.
The war was something that no one would want to have a repeat of. Rogues had made an alliance with vampires, forming the Defiance Pack, as they called themselves. They believed that they had a rightful place in our society. They believed that rogues are no different than werewolves that are a part of a pack. Thry believed vampires were not an abomination, but a gift from the Gods.
But they were wrong, oh were they wrong.
Rogues are not a part of a pack for a reason. Whether they were diminished from a pack because of treason, murder, or even stealing more than once, rogues were expelled from a pack for a reason.
Vampires were always seen as the immaterial part of supernatural society. They had no purpose, they only drained blood for a reason of only and caused chaos. They do not even protain scents, for Goddess' sake.
So, when they had attacked me that day, everything we had built for our peaceful supernatural world had came crumbling down as the pursual of war had been answered.
Yesterday
I looked towards my father with bulging eyes, as I presumed my father would push away the matter of me being mated to the Alpha King, as he can never see his beloved daughter being the rightful mate of to a murderous commander as him.
"I do not believe she is my mate."
Those words, those words cut through me like daggers. I could feel the storm brewing inside of me at his trivial words. How could he dismiss me as his mate, when he knew that no matter the abomination, I was rightfully his?
I closed my eyes shut, wishing myself to be somewhere other than this ill-stricken room. "That is not possible, Aiken." Alaera's soft voice broke through the uncomfortable silence that fell upon the conference room. "She is your mate, and even though she is but a normal wolf, that does not change the facts."
I had clenched my hands to suppress my anger at her words. Yes, I am not a Lycan but it does not mean that I am not capable of taking a position as staggering as being the Luna Queen of all werewolf beings.
"Well, she is the rightful Luna of our pack so she needs to take her position which would make our pack more stronger." Gamma Mikhail Anderson of the Lycan Pack had spoke out his opinion as everyone in the room started to converse with their neighboring werewolf.
Suddenly, a loud argument had broke out as High Werewolves started to shout out their opinions. Everyone became more and more aggressive with each passing words and I knew if this would not stop, all Hell would break loose.
