This isn't terribly scary, its kind of funny and mostly just coincidental (I hope)

When I was in 5th or 6th grade, I was talking on the phone to my friend Tiffany. We talked for a long time and then, when there was a lag in the conversation, I whispered "I'm outside your house right now." I loved doing creepy things like that, it was always fun to creep people out. "I can see your room from here." She giggled and said, "I'm looking out my window, and I can't see you."

"That's because I'm hiding in the bushes." I whispered. She laughed again, and I could picture her rolling her eyes. "Oh yeah? If you're outside my house, are my bedroom lights on or off?" She challenged. "On," I replied. That was easy. She had always thought her house was haunted, and I knew she was too scared to turn off the lights. "Whoa, how'd you know that?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. "Because I'm outside your house." I chuckled.

"Ok, O psychic one, if you can see inside my room, say something about it that you wouldn't know unless you were here." I could hear the smugness in her voice, and knew this little game would end with my answer. I thought about it for a moment. "I like your pink curtains. I've never seen them there before, are they new?" I whispered in the creepiest voice I could muster. Tiffany was a bit of a tomboy, and hated the color pink, so I knew she wouldn't have pink curtains. I waited for her to laugh, but was met only with silence on the other end. "Tiff? Are you there?" I asked, worried that the call had dropped.

"How did you know I got pink curtains?"
