Hiding The Truth

Ciara's Pov:

God knows I love DeMarcus but I can't tell him. Even if I really wanted to, I'm afraid he'd just push me away or find someone better. I try to act like the possibility of him being with another female doesn't bother me, but anytime I think he's with the next hoe I get emotional and clingy. I have never felt this way about another man except Marcus. Maybe it's because he's Demitrius and Kira's dad. Well whatever it is it makes me bug the hell out and sooner or later I have to tell Marcus how I really feel.

Kira-Mommy my daddy is here.

Ciara-Okay baby. Go get Mitrius and get ready to go.

As I opened my door I smelled perfume on his shirt and it bothered me but I couldn't let him see that.

Marcus-Hey Ci.

Ciara-Hi Marcus, come on in.

Once the kids were ready I walked all of them outside so I could hug my babies goodbye. I looked over Kira's tiny shoulder and saw a woman sitting in Marcus's car.

Ciara-Umm who is that?

Marcus-Does it matter?

Ciara-Yes it matters! Now is she Marcus?

Marcus-Why you even care Ciara?

Ciara-I care because I don't know who you're bringing my children around.

Marcus-You know I would never do anything to hurt my kids!

Ciara-Just tell me who she is!

Demitrius-That's Lacey momma.

Ciara-Thank you baby, now take your sister inside and wait for me. Who the fuck is Lacey and why does Mitri know her?

Marcus-Ciara-

Ciara-No tell me who the bitch is!!!

Marcus-Why she gotta be a bitch?!?

Ciara-You know what I don't got time for you so I'll be inside with my kids. When you can answer a simple ass question we can talk.

Marcus-Naw give me my kids Ciara!

Ciara-DeMarcus Ro'Londo Fields answer the mother fucking question and you can have your kids. I just want to know who you have around my kids that is it. You can't be mad at me for caring about my children.

Marcus-Lacey and I work together.

Ciara-Fine let me get the kids.

After my kids showered me with kisses I helped Marcus get them in the car and walked back towards my house.

Marcus-Ciara wait!

Ciara-Huh?

Marcus-I'm sorry, I should have just told you from the start who she was I wouldn't have had this problem.

Ciara-It's fine. I'm used to it.

Marcus's Pov:

What did she mean by she was used to it? 

Marcus-Used to what?

Ciara-Having my questions and or feelings put on the back burner. You're not the first and probably won't be the last person who has done that to me. I only asked because I care about our kids and that didn't seem like a good enough reason for you, so it's whatever. I'm over it.

Marcus-Over the situation or over me?

Ciara-At this point I'm over the situation because I can never be over you. I'll always love you for giving me Demitrius and Kira.

Marcus-Forreal Ciara. Do you still have feelings for me?

Ciara-This is not the time to talk about this and I don't wanna go there with you today.

Marcus-Ciara if you just tell me. I tell you all the time that I still love you but not once have you said it. Why Ciara? I'm honest with you about how I feel but you can't be honest about the way you feel? Please just be honest with me and I'll leave. Do you still have feelings for me Ciara?

Ciara-I-I- I have more feelings for you than you could ever imagine. I love you Marcus.

After she said those words I reached out to pull her close to me but as usual she pushed me away.

Marcus-Baby please don't push me away any longer. Just let me hold you.

Ciara-No I don't wanna get hurt again.

Marcus-If I'm holding you no one can ever hurt you. Baby please just come here.

Ciara's pov:

I saw a single tear slide down from the chocolate brown eyes and I started to melt. I didn't notice myself step closer to him until I was centimeters away form his embrace. When he pulled me close the tears started flowing and so did the millions of apoligies I owed him.

Ciara-I'm sorry for pushing you away.

Marcus-It's okay.

Ciara-No it isn't you aren't suppossed to push the ones you love away and that's exactly what I did.

Marcus-Actually the more you pushed me away it just made me want you more.

I looked up at the love of my life and smiled just before he pressed those familiar lips to mine.

???-EWWW!!!!!

I could hear Kira and Mitri complain and fake gag all the way from the porch.

Marcus-let me drop the kids with my mom and take Lacey home real quick.

Ciara-Why are you taking the kids to your mom?

Marcus-Because were going out tonight to celebrate.

Ciara-Celebrate what?

Marcus-No longer hiding the truth
