Austin woke up with a soft comfortable blanket wrapped around him and a fog covering his mind. He groggily opened his eyes, but bolted up when he realized that he was now sitting in not his bed, but his mistress'. His hands went to his head as it began to throb. He realized that she must have given him some sort of pain killer to ease the pain. He had to lay back down to calm the throbbing. He looked up and out the window. The sun was beginning to set. He must have been sleeping all day. He heard the door open and looked up to see Parker enter the room.
"Oh hey you're up."
She came and sat down next to him on the bed so that she was facing him. He shook his head.
"I'm so sorry. I'm awful at this. I should've been up."
"No! Its totally fine. You hungry?"
"I'm really not."
She nodded.
"Are you feeling okay?"
He nodded in reply. His leg hurt, but she had already done enough for him.
"You wanna watch some T.V?"
"That sounds awesome."
He said truthfully, feeling that that was his best approach with her, honesty. She grabbed the remote and the two sat next to each other, leaning on the headboard of the bed. She flipped the TV on and found an old black and white cowboy movie playing. She stared for a moment, then sniffed and flipped the channel. They watched a couple of shows before Austin asked,
"Why did you do that with the old movie?"
She was silent for a moment, and he went stiff with fear.
"Those were dad's favorite."
She put her head down and bit her lip, trying to keep from crying, but to no avail. The tears came. She put her head in her hands and Austin put his arms around her, trying to comfort her the best he could. She fell into his shoulder and he laid back down on the bed, her shaking from the emotional trauma in his arms.
