Life After-Eternal Beloved- Byakuya Kuchiki- Bleach--Part 1

"KANPAI!!!!!!" yelled everyone as they drank merrily during the wedding and having fun. I, on the other hand, focused on the environment around me.

"These are the hands of your best friend, the hands that will hold your children, the hands that will care for you always, the hands that will still reach for yours when you are old and grey..." I thought back on those words and looked directly at the cloth in front of me...knowing that the moment that Byakuya and I procreate and I have a child...I will die once the child is born.

"Sakuno?" asked a voice.

You turned towards your newly husband as he looked towards you with worry clouding his eyes as you smiled

"Sorry Byakuya, I am just in thought," you replied looking back at your drink and towards the festivities. Rangiku drunk as always, Kenpachi challenging anyone, Hanataro trying the food laid out. If only they knew the danger that was coming ahead.

You rose from your seat with your dress and walked out of the room. You ran, your legs never ceasing to stop their constant cycle of motion, your mind never straying from your single thought: Run and Stop Aizen.

"Sakuno!" Byakuya yelled as he rose from his chair.

Your lungs were on fire and your heart was about to beat out of your chest. It was a strange sensation, you discovered, being so excruciatingly pained but unable to stop moving. Your bones were made of lead, but some unknown energy forced them to continue to work with your strained muscles and have you continue through the shadows. Your eyes only placed on the figure, the ominous mysteries of the woods leering at you from behind and above.

"Sakuno!" yelled a voice.

You turned around to see the one person you could depend on in the world, Sanae. She was always the one who could read your emotions.

"Forgive Sanae," you replied in a low tone.

" You know Byakuya is worried about you," Sanae replied while taking the liberty to sit near you, " Lucky I was able to convince him that you were just feeling ill."

" I apologize for you lying on my behalf," you muttered, " I just have a lot on my plate..."

"You are worried about the upcoming battle and your 'condition' right..."

"You were always the best at reading my feelings Sanae...yes, you know that my clan is a powerful clan but with power there is a price we have to pay, well the female members." you muttered as you sat down at the side of the lake with Sakuno next to you.

A 'plopping' sound as a fish breaks the surface and ripples widening out. The pebbles underfoot, crunch, a moorhen is disturbed and runs off along the banking, distracting you from it's nest. A kestral attracted by the disturbance, hovers above the next field. The smell, of water and 'ozone', warmth and living. You lay down on the edge of the water and peer into its depths, you only see pond weed and small insects at first. As you remain still, layers of water somehow become apparent, the open light layer with minnows darting about, the next darker layer, a large carp is sitting, watching you as you watch him. Then the dark bottom of the pond, the brown silt moving with life.

The dragonflies catch your attention, landing on a bullrush nearby, you lift your gaze for a moment to see them in their metallic blue finery. From the corner of your eye you see a shape move in the water. You look back and realise there are loads of fish, you never noticed before, you saw their black shapes but did not recognise them as fish. There is another 'pop' sound and concentric circles form on the lake, Kuchiki's compound was most beautiful at night time.

"I remember you telling me, that once you give birth to your first child, you will die." Sakuno said in a low tone.

"But Byakuya doesn't know that nor does the rest of the soul society," you replied, "Yet, I fell in love with him."

"But you did it out of love which is why you chose to marry him." said Sanae.

"But with the war coming this December, I cannot focus on procreating with Byakuya and having a Kuchiki heir." you replied...."I need to train and go back into hiding."

"So you will run away once again...to the human world?" Sanae said in a low tone.

"Yes, two days from now. You are free to come if you like, but I don't want you to hurt Shunsui's feelings which is why I will not be asking you to come with me." you replied, "But I will be laying low and probably will become close with the substitute soul reaper, Ichigo."

"Hm...I will come with you Sakuno...but you just got married to Byakuya, you know he will panic if you leave unnoticed once again."

"I know it will hurt him, but Aizen must be stopped and knowing that old man, anything that comes to the Soul Society is the first priority than to the current living humans," you replied.

"I understand," Sanae replied as she lifted her hand while you smiled and grabbed hers in a firm handshake.

"Looks like we are going back to the human world..." you replied with a smile on your face "Forgive me Byakuya..."
