Justin's Pov:
I dropped my baseball bat right when I saw Marisa. Jason was sitting on the couch looking absolutely terrified. Jason was our son. Yeah our. Me and Marisa had him about 2 years ago and when she went to Kristine's house for a sleep over and this apocalypse broke out I didn't see her again. I know it doesn't seem like it but it's been 1 year since that day that separated us. Jason didn't remember her, clearly. I looked at her and saw that she was about to cry. "Justin?" She asked. I opened up my arms and she ran into them bursting into tears when her head hit my shoulder. "I'm s-so s-s-sorry." He whimpered into my chest. I looked at Jason and saw him staring at us. I pulled away and turned Marisa around so she was facing Jason. "This is your son Jason." I said. He looked at Marisa and started tearing up and ran into her arms hugging her. Marisa picked up Jason and held the 4 year old as close to her as possible. "Hey are you hungry?" I asked. They both nodded and we decided to make sandwiches and have a picnic in the tree house just like we used to.
~Time skip to after picnic cause I'm lazy~
Jason jumped out of the tree and started running around while me and Marisa stayed in the tree house watching him. I got up and jumped down the tree. Soon after I head a ear piercing scream. Jason. I ran to where the scream came from and saw a bloody pile of mush crowded by 10 zombies. I grabbed my hand gun out and shot all of them as fast as I could. As soon as they were all dead on the floor I ran to the red mush on the floor hoping it was already there before but what I found made me want to throw up. Jason's head toppled off the red mush and landed not to far from me. I fell to my knees and started crying. "I just killed my son." I whispered to myself. I heard a gasp and then a thump right next to me. I turned my head and saw Marisa sobbing into her hands.
