LEXI P.O.V.
"Don't worry, you aren't in trouble." I let out a long sigh. Praise the genies.
"I just called you here to tell you that you will be representing the school at HSAC two weeks from now!" Dr.Thompson said. "Your leg should be healed up by then, correct?"
"Yes! I've been wanting to go to HSAC ever since I was in *Class 3!*Class 3 is just a term we use for Grade 4 in my country. At least I think it's Grade 4. 4 or 3. I don't know.
"Well, I'm glad you will be able to pursue your dream. You are dismissed."
"Thank you sir!"Yes! HSAC has been my dream for a long time! HSAC stands for High School Athletic Championships. Every high school in the state competes for the title with a team made up of the 20 best athletes in each age group in their schools.
CAMERON P.O.V.
I walked to the principal's office to find Lexi. It was the last period, and school finished. I found her under the little roof-like structure in front of the administration building. I ran up to her and asked her what happened.
"I made the HSAC team!" she said.
"Really?" I asked. She nodded at me. "That's awesome!"
"I know, right?" she said and flicked her hair over her shoulder in a show-offy way.
"You're messed up," I laughed at her.
"Not as messed up as you! Now please carry this extra bag for me," she said.
"But you only had one bag," I said.
"This has the HSAC uniform in it," she explained.
"Oh OK," I hoisted the bag on my shoulder.
"Let's go," she said.
