Knock Knock

Beep!
I groan and practically punch my alarm clock." Jerk!" I yell to the clock that now has a small dent in it. I sigh and roll out of bed doing a back walk over on the way." Time for school!" I say skipping over to my closet. I pull out my school uniform for Gotham Academy and change into it. I put my bright red hair in pigtails and grab my backpack, racing out the door of my mom's apartment.

I arrive at school and let out a deep breath as my best friend walks over to me." Hey Dick!" I say in a sing song tone. He smiles and fist bumps me.

"Hello Hailey Quinnzel! Let me guess... punch your clock again?" He asked me rolling his electric blue eyes and I laugh. The bell rings and we race each other inside." I won!" He chanted racing off to his class and I roll my eyes. Such a child... but who am I to judge knowing my parents.

School went by as it normally does and I toss my bed onto the ripped couch when I get back... home. I look at the calendar on the wall of my bedroom and my heart skips a beat. Two more days till they break out... I open up my closet and pull out a huge chest. When I open it I am greeted by the sight of my costume. It was a bright red leotard with a black tutu, it had ripped red tights and black little pixie boots to match. I grabbed the head piece and starred at it. It was just like my mom's but all black with red balls on the tips. My stage name was 'Jester' and my parents were so proud of me for it. I put all of my stuff back and shove the box back into the closet closing the doors.

I heard a knock at my door and I walked out of my room to the front door." Hey Dick!" I say letting my friend inside. He smiles at me and holds up a couple of comedy movies.

"Movie night!!!" He yelled and I chuckle leading him into the room with the TV. We watched movies for hours till his dad called and told him to come home. Shortly after he left there was another knock at my door.

"Hiya baby puddn'!" Harley Quinn said barging through the door and giving me a hug.

"Mom!? I thought you and dad weren't breaking out of Arkham until Friday... Hi dad!" I said noticing my abusive chaotic and psychotic father standing in the doorway holding a blood stained knife. I gulped as he strode in and stood in front of me. For a second I thought he was going to backhand me until he gave me a smile.

Sweetheart!!! How have you been doing!? Ready for our family bonding time!?" He asked wrapping his arms around me and giving me a hug, I hug him back lightly and give him a fake psychotic laugh. I nod my head and run off to change into my Jester costume.

"Ta da!!!" I say posing for my parents and they both smiled." Lead the way!!!" I said in a high pitch voice and sing song tone. My mother sequels and father laughs walking out the door. I lock the door on my way out and skip to catch up with my parents. This is going to be a long night...
