Chapter 7- New Beginnings

Sorry I've been busy my goal is 2 chapters today..Not sure where this will go but we'll see. I changed the ages, Alex & Nique are 20 & 21.. I'll give you a piece of what happened after they went home but the chapter will be 6 months later. Excuse any mistakes & ENJOY :)

*A week later*

Nothings been the same without Darrien, the house is kind of dead now. The only life is the babies, well the twins anyway. It's like Yana knows something wrong she isn't her usual happy self. I know for a fact she misses her dad, it hit all of us hard especially Ashley.

She's been acting weird lately, I've apologized a million times. She'll just give me a small smile and go in the room, I've tried talking to her and everything. I was sitting in between my baby legs as she did my hair

"Baby somethings up with Ashley, she's been off lately. Real distant"

"She's pregnant boo, and you know she's still taking D's death hard."

"So it isn't me? Whenever I try and talk to her she just goes back in his room"

She sighed "No just give her some time, she'll come around"

I nodded

"You know I saw Yana crawling towards his door yesterday, and she just sat in front of it like she was waiting on him to open it"

It was quiet, I turned around and she had her head down. I pulled her into my lap and held her, I still wasn't to thrilled about her sister living here. I don't trust her.

"What are you gonna do about LaNiece?"

"That's a handful right there but we talked and came to an understanding. I'm gonna help her, look for a job and get her into a community college. It's a start" She shrugged.

I kissed her hair and we just sat on the floor, sleep taking over us.

*6 months later*

I know some of y'all probably wondering why I'm taking my sister in and helping her. Well one that's my blood, two she needs help. I'm not about to let my little sister throw her life away.

She has a job now, she's going to school and she's acting and dressing like a lady. I can honestly say she's pulling her weight.

Ashley is 7 months pregnant, our birthday is coming up and my wedding shortly after :)

We've been in school for just about 2 semesters, I have all my classes during the day, I guess you can say I'm Ashley's "teacher". She only leave the house to turn in her work to her professors. I help her with her classes and some she do online. Alex is in the evening so she has the kids while I'm at work.

My little munchkins are all turning one next week, since they're only a couple months apart I'm just gonna throw one big party. I wish Darrien was here to see how much Darrianna has grown, I miss my brother there isn't a day that goes by I don't think about him. I have this feeling he isn't gone though, he's gone but he isn't. Does that make sense ?

My poor baby Ashley, she's still taking it hard. She has mood swings now too, I try to keep her above water and stress free. I take care of her, it's hard having the father of your child gone. Knowing he isn't coming back. She's having a baby boy, little D.J ♥

I have a party to plan today and a baby shower to plan in a week. I'm just busy ! I was sitting in my office making some calls for the kids party when Yana crawled her chubby self up to my legs.

"Hi my phattyma , you just a busy body today aren't you?"

She smiled at me and crawled towards my closet

"Phatty you gonna walk for mommy ?"

She giggled and squealed "Mwama"

I laughed at that "Yes mama, you gonna walk for me ?"

My baby is so smart, she managed to push her self up and stumbled towards my open arms. Me encouraging her the whole way, I recorded her as well. She grabbed my hand and looked up at me showing her two pegs at the bottom and said

"Mwama" laughing again like that was the funniest thing ever.

I picked her up and kissed her fat cheeks, she put her hands on the side of my face and looked in my eyes. I saw nothing but Darrien, she layed her head on my chest. I finished making my phone calls and went in the living room to play with my babies.

I'll be starting my internship soon, so ready. Graduation shortly after, hard work really does pay off. I'd knocked most of my classes out the way first semester and I was taking the rest online, I'll be set soon.

As you know already I'm pregnant, and huge. I'm ready to have this baby already I really don't go anywhere or do much. Nique has been a big help, with school and everything. She's throwing me a baby shower something I didn't want, and buying all my baby stuff. As much as I don't like the fact that her sister is living here, Nique is like a sister to me. I'm very grateful for her.

I'm having a boy, Darrien Jr. I can't wait to hold my baby for the first time , I just know he's gonna look just like his daddy. Sad Darrien isn't gonna be around to see his first son grow. Well I'm going back to sleep.

I'm just about done with school, I have one more semester left. I was laying in bed watching the video of Yana walking, and laughing. I turned to Nique

"Bae I'm gonna take Ashley out today"

She smiled "I think she'll like that, she does need to get out for a while"

I kissed her and ran downstairs, I heard her laughing. I knocked on the door

"Come in"

"Hey what you doing ?"

"Nothing watching movies, what's up?"

"You wana ride around with me? See the city?"

She smiled "Sure, if I can get my fat ass out the bed"

I laughed and went to help her up, I let her get ready and went upstairs to do the same.

When we were leaving LaNiece was just coming in from a jog. She smiled at us

I nodded "Wassup Niece"

"Hey Alex, Hey Ashley how are you feeling?"

Ashley pushed her out the way "Ugh, move bitch"

I stood there my mouth wide open, and Watched Ash walk to my car. I looked at LaNiece

"You good?"

She cleared her throat "Huh? Oh yea I'm okay, No biggie. See you guys later" she smiled and went in the house.

I shook my head and walked to the car, me and my cousin really need to talk.

Okay it wasn't much but it's something I'm gonna update again later but school comes first :) Mean while tell me what you think.

-Is Ashley wrong for treating LaNiece that way ?

-Darrianna takes her first steps, her first word is Mwama. How cuutteee !
