Sophie left shortly after their little argument saying that she need to go and that her mum was waiting. After she let her go she sank back down into her mind place, her subconscious was calling her. As the little man appeared from the darkness he looked tired. Okay maybe she overworked him a little bit but I mean it wasn't as bad as when she saw him after math class. Sighing she walked over to him, he gave her that look her mother did when she did something wrong and she knew it. What? He just stared at her as if saying really your really going to try me. Oh don't think I won't! He turned and walked away bringing back a glowing blue ball. It was really beautiful she had never seen it before. What is it? He didn't reply but instead beckoned her to come closer. When she did he careful place the ball in her hands. Instantly she felt a tingling sensation in her fingers and a pain in her heart like a knife was being plunged into it. She began to scream as she saw her father just before he hung himself saying I love you Clarence and then went limp. Why would you show me that! She  practically screamed inside her head causing them to both flinch. He shock his head and pointed to the ball. She looked into it again this time looking closely. She saw a small piece of paper tucked into one of the coils of the rope. Handing the ball back to the man she snapped out of her mind and back to reality. She began running frantically to her mums office.
"Mum where did you out the rope dad hung himself from?" She said panting. Her mum staring at her in shock.
"Why would you ask such a question--"
"Mum not now please where did you put the rope!" She just looked at her crossly.
"Darling I am not telling you where the rope is that thing has caused us enough trouble already and why would you want the rope anyway?!"
"Mum please just trust me on this  one" she sighed "Its in the spare room"

She ran up the stairs as fast as she could not turning back once. Once she got up to the spare room she slowly turned the door knob and pushed the door open. She walked inside and began to frantically search through boxes but to no avail. She entered her subconscious again and as she thought she was availed by the little man holding this time a green glowing ball. She stepped up to it carefully and like the last time put her hands around it and looked into the glass.

In there she saw her mother carrying the rope with the note still attached into the spare room. As she walked inside she paused looking for the right place to put it. She found a box with some random patterns on there. She opened up the box put it in and then slide it into the cupboard.

Clarence stepped back from the ball and thanked her subconscious and returned to the normal world. Once back she edged her way slowly to the cupboard and opened the door. It made a loud creaking sound. She instantly saw the box overjoyed she instantly picked it up. And slowly opened the box. The rope was in there. She finally broke down crying as she untied the nose. The piece of paper fell gently to the floor. Not knowing whether to be excited or scared she picked up the piece of paper. It read....

Dear Clarence,
I'm sorry that I have let you down like this but you must understand that it was for the best. After fighting the war I was being tracked by one of the opposing soldiers who had it out for me for killing his best mate. He threatened to kill me and everyone I loved if I didn't kill myself tonight and I couldn't let that happen to you I'm so sorry. I kept you in the dark about this but it was the only way I could keep you safe. Just know that I love you and will always be watching over you I will never leave your side I promise I'll see you again soon.
Love Dad xxoo

"Why was this letter only addressed to me?! Did mum already know about this! I have to find out." She ran back down the stairs and handed the note to her mum. "Why have I never seen this!" Veronica looked at her daughter then the note.
"I never even knew this existed where did you find it?"
"It was in the rope!"
"How did you know it was there?"
"My subconscious showed me where to find it.."
"Darling I think you need to get outside and have a walk."

So she took the note and stormed out of the house over to Tom's place. The only place she knows she'll be taken seriously. She knocked on the door. She heard footsteps approaching before the door was opened. To reveal Tom's mother.
"Hello Clarence how are you today?"
"I need to see Tom it's urgent."
"Come right in."
