Lily's POV

This is a story about a girl, me, who fall in love with her very best friend since highschool. But this is not a regular story like any other regular story.

I've never fallen in love before. I don't even know what love is until I get the chance to feel it. I still can remember the first time I realized that I have a feeling towards the opposite sex.

It was mid July and school was on Summer break. Most of my friends were working part-time but I didn't try to get one, I'd rather be at home everyday, enjoying my free time before going back to school and thinking about college.

The day I developed a feeling towards the opposite sex was when I spent most of my Summer break with my best friend, Benjamin Parish, or Ben in short.

He was a regular teenager, very popular in our school, yeah we went to the same school since elementary. He lived next door to mine and our parents were best friends as well. He was very sweet guy, a guy that every girl could ask for. His mum raised him to be a gentleman and he turned out to be just like his mum taught him to be.

He was tall and his skin was a bit pale. His brown hair wasn't messy but it wasn't neat as well. He loved wear a t-shirt everyday with different colors, but the fact was I know what every colors he would wear; maroon, gray, black, dark blue and white.

Just like that day, he was wearing a grey t-shirt and black jeans. His hair was in its usual style. We were in my house, playing guitar together. Well, it was mostly me who played the guitar, Ben had a beautiful voice so he was the one who sing.

"I'm bored" said Ben, letting out a big sigh.

"Well, what do you want to do then?" I asked, putting the guitar on a guitar stand next to the couch.

"Let's go to the beach. It's Summer and we haven't touched the beach yet" he said with an excited tone.

So we went to the beach that day. As soon as we arrived Ben was practically running towards the water, leaving his discarded shoes and t-shirt on the sand. I collected them and made myself sat down not too far from him.

It was almost sunset and I saw his figure, it was more like a silhouette. He was achingly beautiful and gorgeous. His hair was wet and so did his jeans. I knew he was beautiful but I didn't realize how beautiful he was until today.

I had this funny feeling on my chest and my stomach. I didn't know what that is but I did know it wasn't just a crush.

Ben was the one who talked to me when I got bullied because I got heterochromia. Ben was the one who fought for me when other kids made fun of my eyes. Ben was the one who hugged me when I was feeling down. Ben was the one who bought me flowers on every Valentine's Day.

Minutes later, he walked towards me and sat down next to me, watching the sunset together.

"You know, if I got into Oxford or any other colleges who isn't in the State, I just want you to know that I'm always with you, no matter how far I am. And I want you to know that you're strong, clever and beautiful, you have a golden heart and don't let people steal that from you" he said, his eyes still looking at the sun.

"Why are you saying that? It's like a goodbye to me,"

He didn't say anything, he just pulled me closer to him instead.

"Don't you worry about anything, Lily. I'm all yours" he said again before placing a kiss on my forehead.
