Someday

How calm the ocean seems from a distance. Sounds of waves carrying each other and small flocks of birds emerging into the view leaving the banks behind. The sand under my feet getting swept away with the receding water.

My father and mother held me, each from the either side as the waves came in. Each time a new wave emerged I would point it out to him and as soon as it went by us, I'd look at both of them and smile. I was happy, we all were.

I never worried at that point about how tomorrow is going to be like. All I lived and thought about was the present. Being a kid with everyone around to support and love you is by far the best and the most missed moment of my life.

The horizon lays wide in front of me with the sun slowly setting down, taking away all the luminous features with it. Another day gone with all the memories and people. I often wish I could go back to being the same kid I used to be Someday.
