I stood there on the crossroads with paths that divided into different directions. There were no billboards about where these roads would take me. I asked around just to learn what the others faced and also what they believed in.

My skin was sun burnt as a result of staying at the same place for a little too long. There was no point in being here for before I'd start to make some sense of it all, I'll decay and succumb to the world outside me.

The crossroads had a world of it's own where the fellow travellers would chant and work their way towards the beaten path. It didn't matter who You were or where You came from, everyone was pushed into the same hole.

I saw how those that walked the beaten path materialised everything that they came across and chased unattainable perfection with the utmost vigour. As I walked further away from the crossroads and the monotonous side of the world, I started to change as a person. The path broke me down and built me back up, exposing me to an undiscovered side of myself.

I knew who I was and what I really wanted to do with my life. I was unburdened by everything and everyone pulling me down. Yes, I stood at the crossroads and chose to tread the road less travelled by and It Was All Worth my While.
