(I'M SORRY THAT THIS MIGHT SEEM A BIT LIKE MY OTHER HETALIA X READER, BUT THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT, I PROMISE.)
"(Y/N)!" The eXcited Italian exclaimed as he sawe you and Gilbert making your way up the driveway. He always seemed happy to see you, and you were happy to see him. He always seemed to brighten your mood even if you were already happy.
"Hallo, Feliciano." You greeted using his human name. You knew that Feli represented North Italy and Ludwig represented Germany. But no matter what, you had always used their human names. It was how they were introduced to you and thats who they were going to stay.
"Where's Ludwig?" You asked the Italian. He smiled at you and told you that he was in his study. Of corse, you thought, when is he not? You smiled at the Italian before you went to Ludwig's study. On your way there you called out, "Ludwig, oh Ludwig, where art thou Ludwig?"
Feliciano giggled at this and followed you and Gilbert into the room. You smiled as soon as you saw the German and went over, giving him a hug. He was used to it by now since you visited him like once every two weeks. Plus there was the time when you were younger that he let you stay at his house for about a month since Gilbert had gone to a different country and you weren't aloud to go.
"Hallo (Y/N), Bruder." Ludwig said, greeting the two of you. You pulled back from the hug, and went over and looked at the papers on Ludwig's desk. You frowned at the top paper.
"A war, Ludwig? I thought everyone was past that." You said and Ludwig looked at you with a blank face. Gilbert moved so he could see his brother's face clearly.
"A war Luddy, is that what you called me here to talk to me about?" Gilbert asked, and by the look on his face, you knew he didnt like it. From the stories you had heard, you knew that last one didn't end well. Or at least for this side, the loosers of the war.
"It's not my choice, bruder. I don't want to go to war, I just have no choice. Aldof said it's either we do this, or he'll make sure that my people starve more then they already are." Ludwig said and you understood where he was comming from.
Gilbert looked at Ludwig as if he wanted to say something, but he didn't. He looked at you and Feli before choosing his words carefully. "(Y/N), Feli, why don't you two go down stairs and make some pasta? I'm sure Feli would love to teach you, (Y/N)."
"But I don't want to learn right now, I want to hear this." You said looking at Gilbert pleadingly but he just shook his head. He motioned you to go but you just crossed your arms stubborly. "I'm not going."
"(Y/N), please, don't make this any more difficult than it has to be." he said but you didnt move. You knew it was stupid not to listen to him, and rude, but you felt like you needed to hear this. The last time you had a feeling like this was the morning eight years ago, when your mother had told you she loved you one last time.
"(Y/N), now.' Gilbert said and you flinched. His voice had suddenly jumped to demanding. You had flinched, and so had Feli. You bit your lip and left the room. You glared at Gilbert, you didn't know why you felt angry at him. It was probably the whole Great Depression and everything getting at you and Gilbert. It had been difficult for everyone lately. You could hardly eat because you didn't have enough money to buy the food that was still around. Not that Gilbert or anyone else knew that.
"(Y/N), you know he's just trying to protect you, and the way to do that is to keep you out." Feli said as he followed you out of the room. You looked at him and nodded. That's all Gilbert had ever done since you met him, was try to protect you. But how was he supposed to do that if he ended up going to war?
"Ja, I know, but I wish he could at least talk top me about it." You told Feli and he nodded. Youknew he understood, he was the same way with Ludwig, the difference was that Ludwig actually told Feli most of the time. Being able to hear the things they talked about came with the whole, being a country thing. But you weren't a country, all you were was a useless scar holder. All you were good for was wearing the marks that Gilbert might have gotten if he was human.
You sighed to yourself and looked at Feli. "Alright, how about I just learn to make pasta." You said as a way to end the conversation. Feli might have picked up on that, but you couldn't really tell when the only thing on his face was a big grin.
"PASTA!!!!!" He said excitedly, pulling you toward the kitchen so the two of you could make pasta.
