Steve -can't lose you

You were fighting side by side with your fiance, Captain America. You were a great team and knew each other's battle tactics making it easier to fight together.

You landed a blow to the hydra agent in front of you and whipped out a gun forcing a bullet through his head. You looked behind you to see Steve handling himself quite fine.

You smiled slightly and you ran up the side of a pillar and flipped off of it to kick an agent in the head with a bladed boot.

Steve bashed his sheild into his opponents head and punched another in the nose making him cry out and stumble. He then headbutt's another that tried sneaking up on him.

He flipped and landed on a damaged car, an agent took out her gun and shot at the captain.

He took out his sheild and the bullets bounced off, he then ran forward his sheild still in front of him and hit the agent in the head.

He heard a sickening crack and knew the agent's neck had snapped, he then turned to check on you.

He knew you were a badass and could take care of yourself but,he was always worried. He smiled seeing you were okay and continued fighting.

In a mere twenty minutes, all agent's were dead or to injured to stand or move. You held the leader at gun point "were is pierce!" You hissed.

The leader only coughed and spit out blood with a smug look and said "Hail, hydra". Your eye's narrowed and you moved for Steve to interrogate the hydra leader.

He came forward and picked up the kneeling hydra agent by his collar with one hand off his feet. Steve glared up at the man who was trembling "you ain't gettin shit from me, you both'll be dead in seconds anyway" he said smugly.

Your eye's widen "what?!", the leader smirked as blood fell down his chin "the whole building is rigged with dynamite, you'll never make it out. You only have thirty seconds".

Steve immediately dropped him and grabbed your hand you both started running, all you heard was the fading sound of insane laughter and "HAIL HYDRA!".

You both were in a basement filled with car's, now that you looked in each of them as you passed by they all had an explosive.

You and Steve ran harder and faster then ever before.

Steve held on to you like a lifeline and you held to him, you both panted as you neared the staircases. There were sixteen flights of stairs before you could get out.

'No it won't end...not like this' you thought as you saw Steve glance back at you with a worried look.

You were on the eleventh flight of stairs.

Eighth flight, Steve grabbed your waist as you ran as the stairway grew tighter.

Sixth flight. Elevated faster, no time for slow movements.

Almost at the door, steve wrapped his arm's around you and since the glass doors were locked he turned on his side and slammed into it breaking the glass.

The moment the building exploded, you felt steve sheild your upper body. You didn't feel the searing pain travelling up your body, or the glass stuck in your leg.

Steve and you were panting for breath and him being a super soldier wasn't effected by the searing heat from the burning building.

You attempted to get up as Steve did, but you were forced back down by a searing pain. You cried out startling Steve, he immediately came down and saw the glass.

"Oh god (y/n), dammit I'm so sorry" he said as you arched your back in pain, he whispered soothing word's to you as he lifted you bridal style.

He noticed an alarming amount of blood coming from the wound, you both had various other wounds making you both weak.

Steve started running away from the burning building with you in his arm's, "i need a medic! Agent (l/n) is wounded!" Steve yelled into his com.

He looked down at you and placed a soft reassuring kiss on your forehead "your gonna be fine, darling. Just please, don't c-close those beautiful eye's".

You winced at the pain and after that the pain faded all you feel was the numbing feeling of weightlessness. You looked up at steve who was looking up at the clouds impatiently and angrily.

Your eye's start drooping "s-steve" you asked as you leaned into his chest.

He looked down at you "yeah?", you smiled weakly "i-i love ya captain". He smiled and tears started running down his face, "i-i love you too darling" he kissed your lips.

Once you parted, you looked up at his tear streaked face, you brought your hand up and wipped a stray tear "everything is gonna be fine cap'n".

You couldn't get your eye's to focus, the blood loss was too much and if you pulled it out you would bleed out.

Captain america suddenly collapsed to his knees, he was exhausted and he didn't even have an actual destination.

He suddenly held you to his chest and started rocking you as tears rained down his face and soon yours as well.

"P-please don't leave me...please i c-can't do this without you" he cried, you leaned into him to weak to look up at him "it's gonna be ok, I'd never leave you".

He gave a watery smile and pulled back alittle "(y/n) i... (y/n)?", your eye's were closed and you weren't responding.

His eyes widened in horror "no nonononono, (y/n) come on baby, open your eye's" he said as he rubbed your cheek with his gloved thumbs.

He started panicking and shook you alittle and held you to his chest, tears blurred his vision as he sobbed "no please don't leave me, please (y/n) open your eye's. I can't lose you, I love you please don't go!"

He squeezed his eye's shut hoping this was all a dream, and then he heard your voice "S-Steve c-can't b-breathe" you said.

He immediately loosened his hold to see you smiling up at him weakly "i only fell asleep cap'n, i won't die that easily" you said.

He laughed slightly and crushed you to his chest and kissed your lips, you smiled and kissed back and he held you in his arms until the quinnjet arrived.
