Steve - Big Fight

You were on a mission with your fiancé Steve and you were fighting beside natasha. She pulled her gun up towards a hydra agent running towards her.

Natasha then turned and her bullet flew into the head of a hydra agent sneaking up behind you. You then swiftly jumped up and jab at the oncoming hydra agent Nat was previously aiming for.

Tony came from above dropping off captain america as he flew, Steve landed next to you and threw his sheild off towards an agent before turning towards you.

He seemed angry "You let you guard down again (y/n)" he said his eye's narrowed.

You narrowed your eye's and elbowed an agent behind hearing the satisfying crack in his nose "I have Nat covering me, Cap'n. I was fine."

Steve shook his head "you need to focus. Your treating this like a game."

You gaped at him "Are you calling me...childish?"

He didn't answer just caught his sheild in mid air and with a click hooked it back to his suit. You glared at him before turning away and running over to help Clint.

Tony landed near Steve "your blowing it man" he said plainly and Steve glared at him before saying "she could get killed on the battlefield and she is always straying away from me".

Iron man suddenly got it and patted Steve on the back before blasting an agent in the gut blowing him backwards "ah I get it. Cap'n wants his girl by glued to his side all the time. Cap'n you know Nat and (y/n) are more than capable fighters. Why push her so hard if that will only push her away?"

Steve didn't seem to heed to his surprisingly wise words and said "She may not be as capable as I'd hoped...".

Tony was surprised by his friends words as Steve ran off towards the fight.

After the fight at the tower

You were avoiding Steve the moment you boarded the helicarrier. You understood his concern but, you were a sheild agent and you loved what you did. And you wanted to do your job beside your soon to be. But, obviously he doesn't feel the same way.

You brushed your fingers across the engagement ring on your right hand smiling softly. You felt the helicarrier land and immediately stood up and went into the tower.

You rushed to your room and felt the door shut behind you. You sighed before sitting on your bed, then you heard a creak and shot with a gun in hand.

The shadow in the corner moved slightly to reveal Steve Rogers. You put your gun down and sighed before turning around and placing the gun on the counter.

"What do you want?"

Steve glared at the back of your head "I want to talk to you. About your position in S.H.E.I.L.D."

Your eye's widen in shock and you turn slightly "and why would we need to have this discussion?"

Steve sighed "well I feel that you aren't qualified enough to be an agent of S.H.E.I.L.D and I want you to quit".

You pause and turn towards your fiancé "you want me to quit being an agent?" You asked in a whisper.

Steve nodded with a stern look before saying "your not meant for the battlefield hun. Not like natasha or Peggy."

You then look up at him tears in your eyes "so that's what this is about?" You ask backing away from him. He looked at you confused "this is about Peggy?!"

Steve looked away for a moment before saying "it's not like that (y/n)".

You looked at him in disbelief "I can't believe you".
