My Vampire Romance

Chapter 3

*Up top is how I see Kat's Maker, Isaac ;)*

I opened the door to see Kat and some older looking man talking. She saw me and nodded to the man. He walked down the hallway and disappeared. She walked in and sat on the bed. 

"Okay Jace, like I said, you might wanna sit down," She sounded concerned. "The last thing you can remember is just a scream and darkness right?"

"Yeah, but nothing else." I felt a knot start to form in my stomach.

"Okay so here we go. That night, you and your girlfriend were watching a movie when the power in your home was cut off. Some people came in and took you both. Your girlfriend was changed into a vampire because she fought too much and the others wanted her to be a part of their army..."

"Oh.... where is my girlfriend?" I was confused, who took us? Why did they take us?

"Your girlfriend is here. Jace i know this may seem odd, but, I am your girlfriend. The reason you can't remember anything is because when they change someone, it makes them a whole new person. No one remembers anything about them except the ones that changed them. I told Isaac, the one who changed me and the one I was just talking to, that I wanted to keep you with me but, he took you to the auction house to be sold to someone you could work for. I talked more to Isaac and he said that I could go and buy you ONLY if you actually did some work. So as long as you do some work, you can stay with me."

As she was speaking, all of my memories flooded back to me. I remembered her and her beautiful smile. Her wonderful personality.

"I don't know what to say. I'm more angry than anything. You didn't answer my question, Kat," I started to yell, "WHY THE HELL DID THEY TAKE US?! WHY THE FRICK DID THEY RUIN YOUR LIFE?!"

Kat looked like she was going to cry. I sat down next to her and hugged her tightly. 

She looked at me with hurt in her eyes. "I'm sorry Jace. All i wanted was for you to be safe. Isaac was about to change you but you passed out. I told him to take me and leave you alone. I don't know why they took us yet. Isaac said he would tell me later." She started crying.

"Babe look at me," I lifted her chin so I could see her face and wiped the tears from her eyes, "There is no reason you need to be sorry. I'm just angry that they touched you. Did he hurt you?"

She shook her head, "No, they just brought me here and told me that I was to stay with them until I was 'released'."

I pulled Kat into me and held her tightly. I gently kissed the top of her head and stood up. 

"I'm going to get us out of here, even if I die trying. All I care about is your safety right now. I love you, Kat."

"I love you too, Jace. Thank you."
