My Vampire Romance

Chapter 4

*Above is Kat's dress :3* 

"What time is it Kat?" We were still in my room. Kat's blue dress matched her eyes, dark and elegant. She was the most beautiful person I've ever met. 

"It's 5:38. We need to head out to dinner. Isaac said he wants us there at 6. If we aren't there on time, he might hurt you. Let's go." Kat stood up. "I forgot to tell you to dress fancy. You're going to need to wear something nicer than jeans and a T-shirt." She joked.

I laughed, "Alright, I'll be ready in a second babe." She looked at me and smiled, then slipped out the door.

I put on a white dress shirt and some black pants. I walked out and down the hall, and saw Kat standing near the front door. 

"Are you ready? Here's some shoes." Kat handed me the shoes. She smiled, slipped in some heels and went out the door. 

"Kat, are we walking or-"

Kat cut me off, "Get in the car and stay silent please. I can smell other vampires around. If they know you aren't technically a slave, they would tell the council. We'd both be killed." She had a strait face and I could see she was very tense.

"Yes Kat." I climbed in the backseat with Kat as she told the driver where to go. We were silent on the way there. The car pulled to a halt and we got out of the car. We were in front of a fancy-looking restaurant. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the place. She saw Isaac and pulled me toward the table he was sitting at. She slid in the booth and told me to slide in next to her.

"You're five minutes late." Isaac looked unhappy.

"I know, I'm sorry. The driver, uh, he made a wrong turn." I could tell Kat had lied. I wonder if Isaac could. 

Isaac slammed his fist on the table, "LIEING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED UNDER MY RULE! GO OUTSIDE AND WAIT IN MY CAR! NOW!"

When he said, "NOW," Kat jumped. She stood up quickly, grabbed me, and pulled me outside. She looked at me worried and pushed me into a blue cadillac. 

"I'm so, so sorry Jace. Please forgive me." Kat started to sniffle like she was about to cry.

"Kat what's going to happe-" I saw Isaac approaching the car. I leaned back and Kat started to tense up again.

"Jace," Isaac was automatically calmer, "Get out of my car."

I stepped out of the car and when i went to ask Isaac why he wanted me out, he punched me. Blood was splattered on the ground and on my shirt. I could taste blood. I realized his punch was so strong, it broke my jaw. I couldn't do anything but hold my jaw and cheek hoping he wouldn't do it again.

"I told Kat to be here at exactly 6. Any later, and you would be punished. You better hope she doesn't mess up again. Next time, It'll be worse. When we get back to the house, you will be cleaned up and fixed." Isaac pointed to the car and I hopped in. He started it up and we drove home.
