Chapter 2
•Riley's POV•
"Mathews good to see you" Maya said as her and Farkle went and sat down.
"Your okay with this?" I asked them
"I already knew Riley , did you really think your dad would let you go to high school without him?" Maya asked me
"I hoped . I hoped all summer" I said as I went to my seat.
"Sorry peaches not ever gonna happen. Your best hope is college" Maya told me looking sympathetic
"Four years I gotta another four years with you" I said looking at my father he smiled and wrote on the board HIGH SCHOOL . when he turned back around I knew he was going to start to lecture us.
"Dad can we please skip the daily
lectures this year?"
"Dad?" a voice said from the back of the room. we all turned around to see who it was . I don't know what everyone else saw but I saw the hottest guy I've ever seen.
"Mr.Mathews has a daughter huh?" he asked leaning on the door frame
"Lucas what are you doing here?" Farkle asked him.
I turned to look at him shock on my face on how he knew this angle from heaven.
"Aw Farkle I missed you so much I just had to come visit . ha who am I kidding not even I believed that. my gramps doesn't want me to live with him anymore so he sent me to live with mom dad and of course their genius daughter " he said rolling his eyes
"Mr.Friar take a seat" my dad said ending this catch up session. Lucas then walked and sat at the seat behind Maya and next to Farkle
"Farkle would you like to explain how you know Mr.Friar?"
"Not really sir"
"Farkle you know my daughter . How do you know Mr.Friar, please tell us before her head blows up"
"Fine. Lucas is Smakles fraternal twin brother. When they were little they found out that she was different from everyone else so they moved her to New York where she could be helped . while Lucas stayed home with his grandpa. I went with smakle this summer to visit her family with her back home where I meet Lucas." Farkle explained to everyone.
I turned around and looked at Farkle. Then I turned and looked at Maya
"Did you know?"
"Riley"
"You knew , you knew and neither of you told me"
I stood up and walked out
