Chapter 3
•Riley's POV•
I walked to the courtyard at our school and just sat there. Why didn't my friends tell me for one that Farkle went with smakle to meet her family and two that she had a brother. I know this shouldn't affect me as much as it is but I hate it when my friends keep secrets from me. I heard the door to the courtyard open and I didn't look up.
"Peaches I know you want to talk to me and tell me I'm over reacting but that's not what I need right now"
"Good because I'm not here to do that" I heard that angelic voice and immediately looked up.
"Lucas! I'm sorry I thought you were Maya" I said feeling embarrassed.
He walked towards me and sat next to me. I felt my checks turning hot and I tried to hide my face.
"It's okay, she told me to come after you , she knew you didn't need her right now" he told me putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Thanks but you can go. I don't want you to be here just because someone told you too, I'm sure you have better places to be" I said still not looking at him.
"There's no place I'd rather be"
when I heard that I looked at him and our eyes locked.
he wasn't the same bad boy who walked into my dads class ten minutes ago. This was someone new someone better someone who looked sincere and loving. Next thing I knew I felt myself hugging his perfectly shaped body. He smelled of beautiful pine trees. I never wanted to let go. He just hugged me back no words were needed . this moment was perfect.
•Lucas POV •
I walked around the school trying to find Riley. I didn't know her but I felt like I did. I knew if she wanted to be alone she wouldn't go just anywhere , she'd go somewhere most people wouldn't go. I walked down a few hallways and found a courtyard. I looked out the window saw her sitting on the floor with her legs folded to her face. I walked in and she thought I was Maya.
"Peaches I know you want to talk to me and tell me I'm over reacting but that's not what I need right now" Her angelic voice said not even looking up.
"Good because I'm not here to do that" she looked up shocked to see I wasn't Maya.
"Lucas! I'm sorry I thought you were Maya" I knew she felt embarrassed and it was so cute.
I walked towards her and sat next to her. I saw her checks turning pink and she was trying to hide her face.
"It's okay, she told me to come after you , she knew you didn't need her right now" I told her putting my hand on her shoulder.
"Thanks but you can go. I don't want you to be here just because someone told you too, I'm sure you have better places to be" She said still not looking at me.
"There's no place I'd rather be" That made her look up. our eyes locked and I saw how vulnerable she was.
if I was back in Texas I'd probably take advantage of that but with Riley she's just too precious to hurt. She ended up hugging me. I was shocked at first but then I found myself hugging her back. I never wanted to let go. She was my angle sent from heaven and I never wanted to loose her.

so this chapter is kinda short and simple but very effective for chapter 6 :)
