There was a moment of silence. We stared at each other until Sky broke the silence.
"So, tell me about yourself, besides the murders, I already know about that." Sky said.
"You do?" I said quite surprised.
"Yeah, I work the night shift too, I'm well aware of your father killing those kids." She said.
"So I'm assuming you also know that I kill?" I said.
"Yeah, I'm a killer too," She said.
"Wow, no wonder why F wanted is to date." I said.
She giggled, "Yeah, so now, tell me about yourself."
"Well, my name is Peter Gatsby, I don't know my own last name, so I gave myself the last name Gatsby because I liked the name, I grew up with my brother, Parker, and raised him for nearly 9 years when our father left us back in 1987. I first killed a guy when I was 14 years old. I kill sometimes just for the kicks." I said.
"Wow, how interesting." Sky said.
"Yeah, it's a cold, harsh world out there." I said.
"You said it," she said.
"So how about you?" I asked.
"I'm a murderer, that's as simple as it gets. I kill for the kicks." She said.
"Hmmm, 'how interesting'" I said.
"Hey what did you expect?" She said raising an eyebrow.
"To be honest, I don't know, but if that's who you are, then okay." I said.
She laughed at that statement. She had a cute laugh that I loved.
I sorta laughed with her, I wasn't really the laughing type of guy.
"So, how do you like the job?" Sky asked.
"It's fine, I guess." I said.
"Boring?" She said.
"Yeah." I said.
"Can I join you on the job tonight?" She asked. I couldn't say no to her, well more of I wouldn't say no to her, I could tell I was definitely falling for her.
"Yeah, sure." I said.
"That's great then, I'll be here with you then." She said.
"Yeah, plus this is a date anyways," I said.
"Yeah!" She said.
"Well you know, this can't be a first date without a first kiss," I said.
There was a moment of silence. Then we leaned close to each other and kissed deeply. The kiss was the most amazing thing that ever happened to me, meeting her was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. After a long minute, our lips parted, and we stared at each other. We both knew we were falling for each other, because that kiss, was the best kiss you could ever ask for, the first kiss.
"That was amazing," I said.
"Yeah, it was." She said.
"Look I know we haven't known each other for long, but I think I actually love you." I said.
"Yeah, me too, I think I love you too." She said.
I don't know what came over us but she suddenly kissed again, deeply. Her lips were soft. Now typically I wasn't a guy that liked being around girls, or even talking to them, but Sky, there was something about her that I loved. I wanted to be with her. After the kiss, we talked for a bit longer, ate, drank, until 12 in the morning. Now we were supposed to work the night shift but we were definitely to drunk by the end of the night, so I had a pal take the shift for me. I drove Sky home.
"So I guess I'll see you soon," I said to Sky.
"Yeah, see you soon Peter, bye" Sky said.
"Bye," I said as I drove off back to my house.
That night, was the night I met my love.
