Chapter 8:Grand Entrance

"10 minutes!!!" A guy with a blonde moustache shouts at everyone. I already memorized the dance steps. And it was time for me to get ready. "Alright, im going to get ready now," i say. Clark nodded I looked for Ruff. Then, some one pulled me away from the village. Im guessing its Ruffnut. Then, i saw the P.U.A.P. yep, im positive that it is Ruffnut. I looked at the guy. It is Ruffnut. "Um, Ruff, stop pulling me please." Oh! Sorry. Im just scared that someone might follow us and it can be a catastrophy." "Yep. Can we get ready now?" "Okay." She opened her P.U.A.P door. "Okay, ait on the stool." I sat on the stooly stool she took my braid off and brushed my hair. She put some mascara in my eyelashes. She colored my eyes with a color that suits my dress. Speaking of which, where is my dress? "Ruff, can i get my dress? Its in my house." "NO! You cant return there! I have another beautiful dress that my Grandma Hildegard gave me. Ya know, before me and my brother lost our minds. Its in my Closet." I stood up and opened the door. It was so beautiful and i was sooooo SHOCKED! It was a beautiful silky dress with a glitterized cloth attached to side. It has a few designs hanging on the side it was colored blue. It was huge. It was long. It was.. Beautiful. "Why-why are you giving this to me? Why wont you wear this? Maybe your brother already saw it!" "Well, first of all, i dont like long dresses. I like normal not-so-long ones. And second, my brother never saw it before. Its all yours. Grandma Hildegard told me if i dont like it, give it to a beautiful friend. I think it fits you well," i shreiked "thanks Ruff!" I put the dress on and when i was finished, Ruffnut was totally speechless. "You. You look amazing!!!" I smiled. I sat down and she fixed my hair some more. She rolled it up high and it looked nice on me. She put some jewelry on me. A blue necklace and blue earrings. Also a big blue ring. She put on the finishing touches with a cherry red lipstick. I looked like a princess! Then, Ruffnut told me to wait over by her bed on the side. I looked at myself in the mirror. "Is this really me? Is Hiccup going to like me now?" "Astrid, Hiccup already likes you! Long long long time ago. Since we were fighting our precious dragons." "Yeah, i know. I let him go. Why?! Until that little innocent feelin HEATHER came here!!!!" I shout at Ruff with a gargled,annoyed and mad voice. "Okay, CALM DOWN." I giggled. Ruffnut was finished, and boy! Does she look GREAT!? She looks amazing! She was wearing a green dress with lets say green makeup and a green necklace and earrings. She looked great. Her hair was braided just like a waterfall. What a look! She looked at me and asked: "Is it right? Or too much green?" "Right." I replied with a warm smile. "Let's go?" "Yes." We ran to the door and finally we were outside. It was a cold chilly afternoon. It was a perfect day for a perfect celebration. "Ill wait for you." I told Ruffnut. She closed the door and we waddled up to Berk. When we arrived, i told Ruff that i needed to see Stoick and i wasnt allowed to let anyone see my dress except one person "Okay, be careful! Your dress might rip over those fallen and sharp branches over there! And watch out for Hiccup!" She shouts back at me when i was way far. "K!!!!" I ran to the back of Stoick's house and i knocked on the door. "Oh Please dont be Hiccup, Please dont be Hiccup!" My prayers were answered. The door opened and it was Stoick. "Astrid? I barely recognized you! You really are the perfect Berk Female Representative! Come in!" I went inside and i saw Goathee. "Goathee? What are you doing here?" She stood up on the chair and wrote something on the sand parted tile on the floor. She used her stick that she carries around. Then Stoick translates it to me. "She says she was going to give you a gift of good luck a necklace of luck. It wont make you nervous. If you win, it will bring glory in all of berk." "But......but i already have a necklace." "Well, yes. That is our main problem. But never fear, she has an amulet. Amulet of good luck." "Oh. Okay." Goathee told me to take my neacklace off. She sticked the amulet in the middle. It was glowing. It made me look more dashing. "There. It looks good on you." Says Stoick. "Alright. Im going to announce now. You only have to go inside the wooden display house placed at the beggining of the red carpet. Your going to shock the people. They'll gasp if they see you so beautiful other girls will go in there and then do the same. Nobody can see you until the men will pull the ropes attached to it ad the covers will fall until they see the whole you. Halfway through the carpet, i will announce the Outcast island representative. Which is Clark,, he will hold your hand. Then, you both walk until you reach the stage. Okay?" "Yes, sir.'' ''You will be walking first." Stoick opened the door and walked out. And minutes later, i can hear his voice way in his house. "Woah." Goathee kept looking at me. She drew something on the sand. "I dont understand.......sorry!" I say. She moaned. She erased everything she wrote and started writing a sentence. I understood it, it says: Good luck! I hope you can win this. Show them Berk is the best island ever known! I looked at Goathee. She smiled, and i smiled back at her. Then, i heard the trumpets. It was time. "Thank you for the amulet Goathee." She gave me a thumbs up. I ran to the wooden display house and I didn't feel nervous. I guess the amulet was really working well. 'Okay Astrid, calm down! No ones outside yet. They're coming here in any minute.' I say to myself. Then I looked at the tiny peephole. I was right! No one was there. Until Ruffnut decided to pay me a visit. "BOO!" I almost broke the whole wooden house. "Oh my... Ruff!!!! It's not funny!" "Hehe! Just wanted to check on ya. Everyone's coming. Wait for Stoick to announce who the Berk representative is!!!" "Your right!! Thanks Ruff!" Then, I heard footsteps. Ruff was already gone. I see everyone! Even Alvin! Everyone looked fancy. Then, the announcement. "VIKINGS! I PROUDLY PRESENT OUR PRECIOUS REPRESENTATIVE...... ASTRID HOFFERSON!!" Then, the wooden wall in front of me fell. Slowly. Then, everyone stared. Snotlout was drooling. More like- over reacting. I saw Hiccup. He was talking to Heather until when he turned around, his eyes were wide open. "Woah." I hear him say. I stepped outside and slowly walked on the carpet. The roses and designs were beautiful. I could hear people from other islands say that I already won. Then, near the two big bouquet of flowers. I stopped near them and I saw Clark. He smiled at me wildly. He held my hand and we walked up to the stage. I can see Hiccup's eyes filled with rage. He was jealous! Yes! I finally know the answer he's jealous! I can't believe this. I feel quite happy. The music started and we danced. It was graceful. I didn't step on his foot and he didn't step on mine. And I stared into his eyes. While people were watching me, I can see other girls in gowns alined from the back, way up to the wooden house. But they were hidden. When we finally stopped dancing, we sat on the chair reserved for us in the front. All other girls with their escorts looked good. It was amazing. I can see Hiccup way over to the back. The entrances finally was finished and the actual event started. Everyone was going to vote who was wearing the best gown. The results were shown and I was surprised to see my name on the first votes. I won! Oh my- I don't even know what to say!! I was shocked! Stoick called me up the stage and the other winners looked good too. The contests finally ended and everyone was hungry. The great Feast started and everyone chatted,laughed and had fun. Clark was so funny the whole time!!! Everytime he says a joke, water always come out of my nose. Everything was perfect for me today. I was happy and full. But someone wasn't. Can you guess who he is??
