"Please don't watch?"
"I've already seen you do this before in your memories."
"Yeah, but it's harder to do when someone is watching!" Sapphire could only whine as she stared down at the now lifeless body. Bill had abandoned it as promised and it was now an empty shell casing of what it used to be. Bill claimed that the man's soul was floating in the Mindscape, so no one needed to worry about it anymore. All she needed to do was eat.
"But before you do! I need to point out some things I want to keep." Bill beamed.
"Things you want to keep..?"
"Yeah! For the body you're making me, remember? I found some things about this body that I like! I want to keep some for the construction later."
The greenette eyed him suspiciously before huffing, "Alright, what do you want?"
"I want the torso! And the arms! Maybe not the legs though. He's a bit short for my taste."
"Huh, okay, I can live with that. Now turn around so I can eat. I'm self conscious."
"Alright princess. Whatever you say."
Bill did just that. Her eating had the equivalent sound to a predator pulling apart the corpse of a deer limb by limb, which was essentially what she was doing. And it was just as gory. Even though in his mind's eye or whatever he could still see how she ate, he knew she wouldn't let him watch her directly, so he went along with it.
"Mm.. Alright, done." She replied after she was sure she was finished.
He turned around and it was like a scene from a horror movie. Not that it scared him or anything. She was still covered in blood and her succubus features were showing now. She had two dark green horns from her head, only the left one was broken at the top. Her medium sized wings folded lightly on her back, and her arrow-head tail swayed softly in content. This was the first time the demon had seen her features in person, and needless to say he liked them.
"Wow! Would cha look at that?" Bill floated over to Sapph, inspecting her closely and making her blush as she stood.
"What?" She huffed. "You're acting like you haven't already seen these before."
"Try flying!"
"But--"
"I wanna see you fly!"
"..alright." The girl gave in, taking a breath as she stood straight. She then gave a running start and flapped her wings, only lifting her a few feet off the ground before she plummeted back down, yelping as she hit.
"Hah! You're so gullible!" Bill inwardly grinned.
"You knew I couldn't fly yet you wanted me to anyways, you asshole..!" She whined, stumbling back up and shaking the grass from her body. "Enough of you having your fangasm over my body, let's get what we saved of this jackhole's body back home."
"Fine, fine."

"We need to be careful. Pick your parts carefully, because if you don't, the product could look absolutely catastrophic." Sapphire explained to Bill as they examined the prosthetic body parts displayed in front of them on the computer screen. Apparently, prosthetic body parts could be substituted for real body parts, as long as you then collect enough blood to fill them out in the final product to produce to flesh. It was a lengthy and confusing process that shouldn't be questioned.
"Hm.. I want these legs!" Bill had picked out a pair of calves and thighs that he liked. They now had a torso, legs, and arms. Now they just needed hair and a head.
"Alright, now I'll find you a mannequin head that matches the skin tone, and you can pick out a wig." And that she did. She found the head quite quickly, and Bill soon picked out a wig. It was dirty blonde and sticking out in most directions, mostly in the back, and the underneath was a dark brown, almost black. She thought he had genuinely good taste for being someone whom was messy and unorganized.
"It says this all should be shipped here in about a day or so. They're all pretty close by."
"Great! Wow, I'm so excited I can hardly wait!" The triangle beamed brightly.
It was only now that Sapph realized that his state was much better than it was when they first met. No longer was his hat and bow tie bent, and his bright color was regained to where he almost was glowing again, and the cracks that once littered his body were going away one by one. It made her wonder.
"Hey, Bill..."
"Hm?"
"How.. How much longer do you think it'll be that you have to live in my mind..?"
"Why do you ask?"
"You seem a whole lot better now than you did. You don't look like you need to be here for much longer..." The greenette looked away, trying to hide the apparent sadness that was growing. Why was she sad? Wasn't she supposed to hate him? This made her head spin. It was all too confusing.
"You're going to miss me."
"A-Am not! I just wanted to know..!"
"Sapphie, I can see the inside of your mind. All of your emotions and your thoughts. You're totally gonna miss me to death!"
"..."
"You practically already miss me! You're afraid too. You don't want me to leave you like everyone else does."
"W-Whatever! Just stop talking about it!" She suddenly snapped, folding her arms across her chest and laying down on her bed on her side, facing away from him. "It's just.. I thought we were having a good time, you know..? Having fun.. Sure we argue a lot, but that's just us. We.. Enjoy each other's company.. Or at least, I do. I don't know about you. I'm not ready for you to leave just yet. I don't think I'm prepared for something like that again."
The dream demon was quiet for a moment, staring at her shivering form. Even though he couldn't see her, he knew she was crying.
He was a demon. He was supposed to feel nothing but anger and happiness. So why in the world did he feel guilty?
He floated over to her form, reappearing on the side that faced away from him to look at her, "Well, I'm not leaving just yet..! Take the time that I have with you left and cherish it! And um..." It sickened him to have to talk so positively and inspirationally. "Uh.. Spend that time wisely!"
"...w-wow, you're a true inspiration, aren't you..?" Sapph cracked a smile, wiping her one eye and giggling.
Somehow, making her feel good made Bill feel good. That was beyond strange for him. He hadn't ever felt like that before, and if he had, it had been so long that he had already forgotten.
He giggled too, and so did she again, and soon they were both laughing at seemingly either nothing or the dumbest things possible.
Bill knew a lot of things. He knew everything about Sapphire, down to her first word, down to the last person she fucked, down to the last feeling she felt or the last thought she thought. He knew about her developing crush on him, and he had convinced himself that he didn't care. Or at least, he tried.
If it wasn't obvious enough, Bill knew everything there was to know about himself as well. What he was, where he came from, how he became. But there was one thing he didn't know about himself.
That was how he felt for Sapphire.
