The child stepped closer to Sophie, taking her hand, and she smiled softly. "May I ask y-"
"Momma?"
The words caused the non-human to pause. "I... E-Excuse me?" She stuttered, grinning a little. "I think you might have mistaken me. I am the child of Bork, the greatest master of all time, the reason why your universe exists. I don't have children. I'm still just a-"
"Momma!" The child grinned, wrapping their arms around the midsection of the inhuman woman, giggling and purring, rubbing their head against her lower chest. A sight impossible to believe from her. Children of Bork were greatly sought after for their strength and, sadly, frequently having their powerful ability misused. Anyone was taught that from birth. You? You were just a spirit, looking over Sophie to protect her, and silently guide her away from dangers. She thought of you as her 'sight'; you were nothing more than a simple ghost, trying to keep the life of Bork alive long enough to see the world before you become better.
But enough of that. While you were spacing out, remembering your existence, Sophie was already trying to pry the child off of her, mumbling.
"Greatest-greatest-greatest-greatest-great-great grandfather Bork... Oh, help me now. How am I going to survive this..."
This sounded like it was only the beginning of something about to happen.
