I've never believed in love at first sight or in love for that matter. I could've never known that not only will I discover love but also my soulmate.
My day started as usual, a run around the city, gym, breakfast, etc. Today I have to give away the literary awards at the WSU. Not particularly thrilling (if you count giggling flirting girls and cocky college boys as an idea of fun). So not on top of my list. But that was my usual, boring and mundane businessman life, filled with work and work only. I did not have place for anything else except work in my life. Nor do I need anything else or anyone else. I was perfectly contented with my life.
I had long ago learnt that women only wanted me because of my face, wealth and the power it brings. It never used to bother my younger self. I had been a player in my college, needing human contact to forget the painful memory of losing my parents and everything with them. But after making an empire out of nothing and reaching the mature age of 28, I have lost interest in women. Choosing to isolate myself , rather than suffering their unbearable company.
I have learnt to bury the pain of life in my work and my business. I was 10 years old when my parents died in an airplane crash. My greedy relatives washed their hands on me and took away all my inheritance. I was admitted into a foster home and I started to work hard and study harder. I got a scholarship at Harvard at the age of 18 and graduated at 21 with a business degree. With nothing to my name, I started my company- Knight holdings Inc. with only ten employees. I made my first billion at 25 and have been making more ever since. The ten employees have now increase to 1 million and increasing everyday. My company is involved in practically everything and has many other branches in almost every country with headquarters in Seattle.
Being a billionaire has its perks too. I have a lot of money and every resource at my feet. Being the President and owner of my own company. I don't have a board of directors to answer to. Coming back to the present I quickly changed out of my sweats and took a shower. I selected my black Armani suit with a red tie and went down to my garage in the private elevator of my penthouse situated in the high-rise building I own.

I took my black lamborghini aventador which was one of my favorites of the 20 cars I own. It would take me about 2 hours to reach their with the kind of horsepower my car had.

At reaching the university premises I was greeted by Director Reid and Dean Coulson. I nodded stiffly in greeting and they started to explain the ceremony and events to me. I listened to them hoping that this torture would get over soon. My P.A. Greg e-mailed me the itinerary and informed me that Jacob the head of my security had already reached and was checking the security around. We then proceeded towards the auditorium. I acknowledged Jacob and he nodded stiffly. Jacob was a man of action not words and we understood each other perfectly, me being a loner after all.
Entering the auditorium, I was met with a hush. The girls eyed me appreciatively and the boys looked at me in envy. I ignored them and we all sat the centre stage on sofas. Dean Coulson then started the ceremony with a welcome speech and read my achievements to everyone with a hope to encourage them. I mentally rolled my eyes at him. He called me to address the audience and offer my "pearls of wisdom". I got up and thought 'let's get this done and over with.
