"Hold on. I'm calling an ambulance!" I ran to the phone and called the police. "Please, you've got to get here as soon as possible. I have a woman here who has been a victim of domestic violence for four months. She's coughing up a lot of blood." I said hurriedly. I gave him the address and ran over to Alicia.

She looked weak, her body shook every time she coughed and her face was pale. "M-Marcel..." Her eyes suddenly rolled up and she was about hit the floor. I caught her and held her close.

"Alicia. Alicia! I need you to try and stay awake for me. At least until the ambulance comes!"

Her breathing was hard and she kept coughing more blood. They'll never get here in time. I quickly picked her up and carried her out of the room. "Veronica!" I shouted, she came out, her face filled with shock when she saw Alicia. "I need to tell Jonny I'm taking Alicia to the hospital." She nodded and hurried into Jonny's office.

"Oh my god! Is she alright!? Baby, why are you closing your eyes!?" Leeroy said, panicked. I looked down and saw that she was drifting in and out of consciousness.

"Shit." I held her tighter and told Leeroy to come with me. We ran down the stairs and into my car. Leeroy sat in the back with Alicia's head in his lap, trying to keep her awake.

"You've got to keep your eyes open for me, honey. Just a bit longer." Leeroy said, stroking her hair with a shaky hand.

I stopped in front of the hospital and picked her up again. I rushed through the doors and everyone looked up at us.

"Help me! She losing consciousness and has lost copious amounts of blood!" I said.

A nurse called out for a gernie and I laid her on it. They rushed her away and into the E.R.

"We're going to need you to stay here, sir." The nurse said to me. As much as I wanted to argue, I nodded.

Leeroy and I sat in the waiting room and he looked at me. "That was an amazing thing you just did, Marcel." He said, rubbing my back.

"Yeah, but if I had paid attention, I could have helped her earlier." I said, running a hand though my hair, messing it up. "He was abusing her, Lee! I didn't even know until this morning! I wish I'd have been there. I could have saved her!" I said, tears running down my face.

He looked at me with wide eyes and shook his head. "This is in no way your fault, Marcel Styles. You didn't know, just like the rest of us. Stop berating yourself. You are a great man."

I nodded and wiped the moisture from my face. "I love her, Leeroy."

He smiled softly. "I already knew that. Now, when she comes out of here and is back on her feet, you've got to let her know that."

I nodded and thanked him. He smiled and pulled out his phone. "Call the police and tell them about Benjamin."

I took the phone and dialed emergency, explaining to them what had happened. "They're off to arrest him now." I let out a deep breath and took off my glasses, cleaning them with my pocket hanky.

-Alicia's P.O.V.-

What the fuck? Someone shut that thing up! Wait...where am I? Am I sleeping?

I suddenly felt my eyes burn and I opened them, flinching at the light. I tried to sit up, but a pain in my stomach caused me to stop and whimper.

"Woah, missy. You're not ready for that yet." Someone chuckled. I looked over to see a man with salt n' pepper hair and a charming smile looking at me.

"Where am I? Who are you?" I asked, confused.

"You're in the hospital. I am your doctor, Dr. Nick Robertello." He said kindly.

My eyes went wide. "W-why am I in the hospital?"

He frowned. "Well, you were rushed in here about six hours ago because you were coughing blood and lost consciousness. You've been a victim of domestic violence for four months and told no one."

I looked down at my fingers, trying to avoid his eyes. "So, what's the report, doctor? When can I go home?" I smiled softly.

"You can go home in three days, we need to monitor your healing. And the report...now, Ms. Flores, your uterus was ruptured when you received a blow to the stomach. I am very sorry to say that you can no longer carry a child..."
