This is my first time writing a teen fiction sorta story so please be gentle on me. If any grammatical errors are found, please don't hesitate to let me know! Hope you'll enjoy this first chapter. Not edited so don't expect too much. Anyways, the curtains have been drawn, so let the play begin.

Chapter 1: That 'Boy'
"Dear heart, I met a cute boy today, prepare to shatter"
*
"But Christine, fear can turn into love. You'll learn to see, to find the man behind the- the-...mask?"
"CUT!"
Groans of frustration were heard as I stopped the scene once again for the billionth time.
"Winter please, I can't remember every single word in the script. Let it pass so we can all go home,"
I rubbed my temples with my forefingers and let out a heavy sigh. "Joshua, I gave you three weeks. I repeat- 3 whole weeks to remember your script!"
"Oh c'mon Win, cant you give me two more days?" He pleaded while showing me his big blue puppy eyes. "Pweaseee Win?" I grimaced at how 'pleasant' he looked. Alas, I rolled my eyes and pushed his face away. "Three days and that's it! Everyone's dismissed, see you guys on Wednesday,"
"Thanks, Winter! You're the best! Don't worry about the set, I'll clean it up!"
I nodded while grabbing my bag and slinging it over my shoulder. I gave a last quick wave before turning to leave the hall.
I was walking along the hallway when I spotted a figure lying on the bleachers. I crept closer as I saw the figure holding a very familiar book. The Phantom of the Opera.
There he was, the light shining on him like it was all on purpose. He had headphones over his ears and an arm folded behind his head. He held my favorite book between his fingers and his attention was solely on the words printed on the white paper. It took me a minute to realize who that figure was.
Connor Haysen.
Oh, my Lord! That's Connor Haysen? Oakley Dawn Highschool's cutest nerd. And when I say cutest, I mean the cutest. He had a slender yet well-built body and he's really loaded. Not that I'm interested in his money, no, I'm just attracted to...Okay well, he's perfect alright?
"I think I like you!"
Damn. Did I say it out loud? Well, my confession came out faster than I thought it would.
I glanced around my surroundings, hoping no one actually heard me mildly confessing my attraction for this boy that I spotted five seconds ago. Darn, I fell quickly. Luckily, no one was around, especially when classes ended three hours ago. It was a good thing Connor had earphones on too or it's going to be really awkward.
I must've been staring much longer than I should've when the figure quickly got to his feet and stared back at my direction. Oh wow, he's much cuter from this angle...wait. Is he looking at me? Crap! Alright, act cool, Winter. Just pretend that you're staring at that beautiful tree behind that totally beautiful person. Oh, are those glasses I see? Oh, Winter likes what she sees. Crap! I got distracted.
Connor squinted his eyes a little before giving a confused wave.
That's it! Screw acting cool!
Without thinking, I dashed down the hallway, totally forgetting about 'playing it cool'.
I didn't stop running until I reached my lockers. I was panting and gasping by then and was positively sure of the blush that was evident on my face. I quickly rummaged through my bag for my cellphone. My fingers went through every book and scripts I had. Finally, I grasped onto the cool metallic cover of my phone and speed dialed.
"Pickup, pickup, pickup, pickup," I muttered as each ring painfully passed.
"Hello-"
"Kaitlynn!"
"Woah! Hold it girl. What up?"
"Guess what?" I practically whispered-screamed into the phone.
"Judging by your enthusiastic tone, I'll say that you found the gummy stash that was hidden by your mom?"
"No- well, not yet. But guess who I saw?"
"Oh gosh this better be a living person," she mumbled.
"This time, it is. Anyway, I saw Connor Haysen!"
"Bae?!" Her tone went up an octave as her excitement rose.
"Yes, yes him!"
Kaitlynn let out a dreamy sigh. "What about him?"
"I-I think I like him,"
I could hear her sucking in a breath before I hear rustling on the other line. "You're joking! Winter? And Connor? Oh yes, I ship!"
"Shhh Kaitlynn. Not so loud. Someone might hear us," I could sense her rolling her eyes over the phone. "Who is going to hear us? In case you haven't notice, I'm over the phone and you are still in school for club activities. Please, no one does that,"
I was about to reply when I hear a soft squeak that is usually made from rubber soled shoes. I looked down at my feet and realized I was wearing flats.
"Um...Kaitlynn? I think someone already did,"
