One day, a 12-year-old boy named Johnny had a dream. He had always wanted to camp in the Amazon forest, surrounded by the mysteries and wonders of the jungle. His family consisted of his loving but cautious mother, Mrs. James, who was 78 years old, his adventurous but blind father, Mr. James, who was 83 years old, and his two brothers, Tommy and Cody. Tommy, the oldest, was 26 years old and always up for a challenge, while Cody, at 19, was eager and enthusiastic.
Johnny's mother was hesitant about the trip because she didn't like the forest, but his father, despite his blindness, loved nature and its adventures. Mrs. James eventually asked Tommy and Cody if they could take Johnny to the Amazon for a weekend camping trip. They eagerly answered, "Yes, mother!"
The day before their adventure, Mr. James gave them a list of essentials: a machete, his rifle, and a fishing line with worms. He called Tommy and firmly instructed, "Don't play with the rifle and machete. Cody gets the machete, and you keep the rifle. Make sure Johnny stays away from them." Tommy confidently replied, "Yes, father, I'll make sure of it."
