A week later, we received a parcel in the mail. We tore it open and to my delight, there was a turquoise (my favourite colour) ball gown and matching gloves inside. After reading the note, I realised that the ball gown is for a ball in Germany next month to reveal the new princess!!
I said to my mother, 'What if they think that I'm a pig?' and she assured me that they will think I'm a poised little angel ready for the duty of ruling a nation. I went inside to try on the dress. I came out to show my mother and it was a little big, but my mother told me that by the time that I need it, it will fit perfectly.
My mother offered to show me some 'Table Tips', as she likes to call them. We sat down and she taught me about what silverware comes first and then she explained some things to me about conversation starters.
After that, we both weren't really able to sleep properly. Even my grandmother was anxious for me. I received letters regarding the party and the upcoming life for my family and I. I started feeling nervous and butterflies tickled the inside of my stomach, so to speak. I practiced things that I would say and I know that it sounds cliche, but it's not like you have ever found out that you are going to become a princess in a month or two.
I'm stressing and I am frustrated because I am thinking about leaving Timothy and how sad that would be. He is the only guy that I have ever been interested in. I don't even think 'Prince Charming' could change the emotions I have for Timothy!
