The Ohio summer sun beamed through my window, hitting my face. I groaned slightly and covered my face with my blanket. Why can't it be winter already? I hated the summer. It's always hot and humid which causes my hair to get static. Damn how I hated summer days.

I turned onto my side to look on my alarm clock, resting on my side desk. Six o'clock in the morning. Already? Why is it that time passes s fast when you're asleep, but really slow when you're awake? I swear some things I will never understand. I shoved my blankets aside and rose from my bed. I stretched my arms out and let out one final yawn before heading to the shower. I turned the shower water on and set on it on a warm temperature. I felt the water with my foot. Nice and warm, just how I liked it. I stripped off my and stepped inside. I let the warm water go down my back, relaxing my muscles. I let out a tired sigh and closed my eyes for a moment.

I hurried trying to finish my hair. I had fallen asleep in the shower and now I'm running late. There was only 5 minutes until the bus got here and I wasn't half way done with my hair. I ran the brush quickly through my hair not caring if it was all poofy. I dropped the brush and looked around. I grabbed my black favorite beanie and slipped it on. I looked at myself, seeing my reflection on the mirror. I sighed. There I was, Aspen Rain McAlister. A girl with light brown hair, a medium size body, and who wore glasses. I was what people called a nerd. Though I wasn't even smart. Isn't it funny how people label you without knowing who you are first? Idiots.

I heard the bus pull up. I grabbed my bag and rushed out of my room, downstairs, and to the bus. I was the last bus stop and of course you can assume the bus is packed. And guess what? You're right, it was packed. I stepped onto the bus and walked down the aisle trying to find a seat. I would look to people I hardly knew and smile, hoping they'll let me seat. They frown and shook their heads no. I sighed and decided to walk to the very back. The back was where all the popular kids sat. I knew I didn't have a chance to seat with them, but I had to try.

"Don't even think about sitting back here with us, Nerd!" Steve, the junior jock said.

I rolled my eyes and looks past him. I saw an empty seat next to a guy that I think I've seen before. I'm not sure. I walked past the jocks and cheerleaders to his seat. He was looking outside the window until I stopped in front of his seat.

"M...may I sit with you?" I asked.

He looked from the window to me. He had black, medium length hair. He wasn't fat, but skinny. I could tell just by him seating he was a tall guy. He was wearing black skinny , a Motley Crue shirt, along with his leather jacket, and black boots. He was one of them. One of the guys who was considered emo. I never meet one before or even seen one, but for some reason I feel like I've seen him before. He smiled to me, his crystal blue eyes looking into my hazel green eyes.

"Of course." He said.

I smiled to him and set my bag down, sliding into the seat. " Thank you." I said.

"No problem, I know how these buses get packed. I'm Andrew by the way, but you can call me Andy." He introduced himself.

"Yeah, no kidding. Nice to meet you, Andy. I'm Aspen." I smiled, looking to him then down to his shirt. "I love your shirt by the way. I love that band."

He looked to his shirt and then looked back to me with a huge smile. "You like Motley Crue too? Damn, that's so awesome. I hardly know any girls who like their music. Do you like any other of bands?" He asked, sitting straight up in the seat.

I sat there looking to him as I thought. "I like Kiss, Nirvana, and Metallica. Any stuff like that." I said, smiling.

He grinned really wide and out of the random reached over, giving me a hug. "I think I found my new best friend!" He shouted.

I laughed, hugging him back. "Aren't you random?"

Before he could answer the bus had arrived at the school. I sigh, picking up my bag and rose from the seat. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Andy. I'll see you around." I said to him as I walked down the aisle and off the bus.

I turned my head to se Andy standing in front of the bus looking confused. I gave him a small smile, stating I was sorry. He curved his lip to a half smile and waved once, holding his hand bag with the other.

I smiled softly and looked back ahead of me, walking to my first class. I know I'll see him again, soon.
