I was up and about when my alarm clock went off. I was already dressed in my grey skinny , a long sleeve black shirt, and my black boots. My hair was grabbed in a pony tail so my bangs wouldn't be covering my eyes or glasses. I never wore makeup but today I decided to wear a bit of lip stick and mascara. The mascara really brought the color of my eyes out. I smiled lightly at myself. Today better be a good day.

"Sweetie, off so soon?" My mother asked as I walked to the front door.

"Yea, I want to pick up Andy."

"Alright. Tell him I say hi, yes?" She smiled.

I nodded and walked out the door. My mother loved Andy and by love, I mean love. He was like the son she always wanted but never had. I was the only child and the only girl. At first my mom wanted a son, but had me instead. So, when I met Andy and brought him over to the house, she couldn't be more proud. Andy had everything it would have taken to be my mother's son.

Andy's house wasn't that far from mine. It only took eight to ten minutes to get there. I walked up the porch steps. I took deep breath before knocking on the door . I sigh softly, whistling a random tune as I waited.

"Coming!" I heard Mrs. Beirsack yell from inside.

I laughed lightly until I heard the locks of the door being unlocked. Mrs.Biersack wasn't tall, but wasn't short. Maybe more like a medium height person. She was wearing some boot cut with a long sleeved red shirt. Her hair was pretty short, nothing like Andy's hair.

"Aspen, hi. What brings you by?" She asked, smiling.

"Good morning, Mrs. Biersack. I'm here to pick up Andy. Is he up yet?" I asked looking behind her to the open house, hoping to see Andy run down the stairs.

"I'm sorry, Aspen, but Andy left with his band mates to New York for a mini tour last night. I thought he told you yesterday night when he was with you." She said the words so slow.

I could feel my eyes wanted to water, but I couldn't cry here, in front of Mrs. Biersack. So, I did what I think was brave, but yet stupid. I put on a smile and nodded my head.

"Oh yes, he did tell me. I forgot this morning and I thought he was here. Thank you, Mrs. Biersack." I waved once at her before walking away from the door.

Once I was a good feet away from the house I broke down in tears. How could he? Why would he? I thought I was his best friend. Why would he leave me without saying anything?

"Promise me we'll be best friends forever no matter what happens."

Was that his goodbye? Saying I was his best friend and promising him that we'll always be best friends.

I walked down the street, tears streaming down my cheeks. Questions were filling my head, but no answers. I stopped at the end of the street and stood next to the stop sign. How was I going to continue without my best friend? Without the person I love.

Correction... Loved.
