chapter 4

Josh's POV

Good she'd agree to go. I really need to get our feud over with. especially since something crossed my mind earlier

~earlier~

" you do realize you were one big asshole to darla today right? Chad came into the studio as i was tidying up.

"She's just as rude" i muttered

" look i dont know what the fuck is going on between you two but it needs to stop and i have a good feeling you started it, look when i was talking to her she said she had it rough for awhile said she was lucky to make it through a week, she seemed pretty tense about it and didnt get into details but she said working here was her happiest day yet, just saying. grow a pair. and mend it" chad gave his lecture then left.

Him talking about her past "struggle" brought back something i wish was ereased from my memory. My addiction. All the pain. Struggle to recover. Then i became cold. did she go through the same pain? Struggle? Or worse? Im going to try and mend this hopefully. Woow when the fuck was the last time i apoligzed first?

~present~

We waited in line and then darla spoke up

" wow this time you didnt stare at my ass" "ohh yea that uhh...sorry i guess. *mentally facepalm*

"Dont worry understandable" she quietly laughs

Wow. I was excpect a smartass comeback or something.

As we ordered darla went to grab her wallet and i gently nudged her away

"Nono i pay" i say

She nudges back and we continued to do that for about 2 minutes. I think that pissed off the cashier. We got our drinks and found a place to sit.

" soo josh why all of the sudden change of heart i mean this josh seems way better but its quite a change. Almost like the grinch." She says

"Well chad made me realize what a douche i was acting and he told me you've had it rough annd well...uhhh

i guess i...ikindafeltlbad" i mumbled the last part

" you what?" She questioned

" i kinda felt bad" i said

" woow finally ramsay apologizes" she smirks

"uhh thanks i mean dont feel bad for my uuh.um. struggle its behind me, and i own up too so im sorry as well, lets put this behind us i guess and move foward?"

I nod in agreement "sure" i say

"Good" she replys

She holds out her hand and we shake on it

We left and i drove her home

" thanks again" she smiles

" no problem" i smile back

" oh shit almost forgot" she says taking off the hoodie

" dont worry just consider it uhh ummm an apoligy gift" i stopped her

" ok" she laughs

"See you tomorrow"

" yup"

We said goodbye and i waited til she got inside then drove away. Wait why did i wait til then? Maybe im just really tired. She has a pretty smile. and laugh. Wait josh shutup you cant think like that you guys are friends.. wait are we? I dont even know. Its crazy how much shit can happen in a day. Uhhh that girl.
