"So, Birdie, where do you want to party for your first weekend with us?" asks Theo as he takes a bite of his breakfast.
I shrug.
Roman stumbles into the kitchen squinting, his hair a mess.
"Good morning, sleeping ugly," teases Theo. Roman grunts in response. "We were just trying to think of somewhere to go today."
Roman opens the fridge and stares blankly at the milk.
"He can sleep with his eyes open," Theo whispers.
"I'm not sleeping," Roman growls.
I laugh. Roman turns and looks at me. He almost smiles, but he turns away before I see it.
"Let's just roam," he says.
"Roamin' with Roman," says Theo.
I smile. "Sounds like a plan."
