Author-chan: Ok I humbly apologise about how long this took to update. Please please please find it in your hearts to forgive me!! I have been very busy with school, and my own personal life. I have homework, books to read (I'm a big bookworm), anime to watch and read (I love manga), and then my fanfictions. Ok whew! That was a lot, sorry I just had to clear that up. Again, please forgive me for taking so long and in return I'm giving you all two chapters! Alright, now on with the story! Thank you all again and please enjoy! X3
Whipping around I drew my dagger. "Woah, easy Katie!" EJ stared at the dagger against his neck.
I withdrew it, "Sorry, EJ. Lots of horror stories have deaths in attics and basements. What's behind the door?" I turned to rattle the knob.
"No one knows." He answered, stopping me. "Slendy goes in there and stays for hours. We think he experiments on people. He likes to learn stuff."
"Oh." I nodded, then walked back to the stairs to the door. "What's up there?"
"The roof, though we lost the key." He said.
"I'll find it, someday. I wanna go up there." I said staring at it.
"Luckily, I do to." I turned. In his hand was a rusty key. I smiled at him, then reached for it. He handed it to me, and I climbed up and unlocked the door. I smiled down at him and pushed open the door.
I blinked against the light, covering my eyes, and placing a hand on the door. EJ walked behind me and took my hand, leading me. I slowly opened my eyes, then gasped. We were standing on the roof and the sun was in front of us, setting slowly behind the mountains. I walked forward to the edge, but EJ's hand stopped me. I looked at him, "EJ you ok?"
"I like coming up here because I'm alone and it's peaceful. I've never shared it with anyone." He shifted nervously. "Also, I can't see, so I don't know if we're close to the edge or not."
I smiled, "Don't worry, this'll be our little secret. And I won't let you fall, just walk forward about five steps." He did and I lead him to the edge. I held his hand and helped him sit down without falling. We dangled our legs over the edge and felt the sun warm us.
Finally he asked, "Katie? Can you describe the sun to me?"
I nodded, then remembered, "Sure." I gazed at it. "Well, it's more like a sunset. You can see the mountains as the sun sets behind them. There must be snow on them, their shining. If you look up, the clouds are painted orange, red, and pink. But looking farther back, you can see blues, purples and finally black. If you could see the whole sky, not even I can, I think you'd see a rainbow, stretching all across the sky. The closer you get to the sun, the warmer the colors, and the farther back you look from the sun, the cooler colors you see. And," I looked back behind me. "if you look, you can see the moon. It's just a sliver on the right side. Barely visible, barely raising." We sat and looked at the sky. Then I leaned back, resting on my back. "EJ, lay down. You won't fall."
He did, and we lay looking up at the appearing stars. It got cold and I shivered. "Wanna go back inside?" EJ asked me.
"Yeah, sounds good." I stood and helped him stand so he wouldn't fall. We walked back to the attic and downstairs. Slendy, Trendy, Offender and a man in a brown suit standing next to them, were talking by the front door.
"Katie, we were just going to find you." Slendy said. "This is my elder brother, Trenderman."
"But you can call me, Trendy, madam." Trendy said. "And I must say, that outfit is not too bad, but I have something better." He went outside and reappeared, pushing one of those trolleys clothe stores have. On it were outfit upon outfit upon outfit. "Slendy forgot to get your measurements so please strip down to your undergarments."
