Chapter 7

'Damn Jeff, damn Liu, damn it all!' I shouted in my head. I was running through the trees, not caring where I was going so long as it was away from them all.

I stopped, leaning against a tree. Tears fell from my eyes, faster than I could stop them. "Damn it!" I cried. "I said I wouldn't cry anymore! No more tears!" I shook with fury, sadness, but mostly regret. "I should have helped them! I should have stayed! I could have saved them! But I ran, I ran like a baby! GOD DAMN IT ALL!!!" I shouted to the sky.

A rusl was heard from the bushes around me. I whirled, back to the tree, dagger drawn. "Who's there?" I called. "Show yourself."

"Hey Katie?" Toby said stepping from the trees. "Everyone's worried about you. Come back." He held out his hand for me.

My eyes watered again. I rubbed them, "GOD DAMMIT!! I SAID NO MORE TEARS!" I screamed.

"Hey what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Toby asked me. "Oh shit, I don't know how to deal with crying girls! Do you need candy, money, puppies? What do you need woman?!" He shouted freaking out.

I giggled quietly. "That's what I need, a friend."

He smiled, "Then let's be friends!" I nodded, taking his hand. He shook it. "Let's go back. Kit Kat."

I laughed, "That my new nickname?"

"Yep!" He stopped, staring at me. He smiled, "Then I'll be your friend, Katie!"

I smiled at him, taking his hand. "Thanks Toby! Let's go back."

He smiled as well, then shook my hand. "Deal! Let's GO!" He dragged me through the trees. Soon, the mansion came into view.

Luna, Sally, and LJ were sitting on the steps, waiting for us. Jane was sitting next to them, holding Jeff's ear. "Why do I have to be here?" He shouted at her.

"Because," She sighed. "You need to apologize to Katie."

"WHY?! WHAT DID I DO?!" He shouted, still struggling.

"You made her cry for one!" Toby shouted at him.

"Sissy!" Luna flung herself down the steps.

"Big Sister!" Sally followed her. I smiled, then opened my arms to them. They jumped into them, making me fall on my ass.

I laughed, "Hey guy! Sorry I ran away like that, had to calm down a bit."

"Ahem, Jeff." Jane said, releasing his ear, and pointing at me.

He scowled. "Fine. Sorry, Katie."

"Like you mean it, Jeff!" LJ said to him.

Jeff flipped him off, "Stay out of this, LJ!" He looked at me, "I'm sorry Katie."

"No problem, Jeffry~!" I smiled at him. "It's not your fault, there's no cure for asshole disease!"

"Why you-! I take it back!" Jeff shouted, stomping up the stairs.

"Aww, is Jeffy-boo mad at me?" I asked him, grinning.

"AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!" Jeff shouted, going through the door. "BITCH!"

I laughed, "Asshole!"

Jane laughed to, "I LIKE HER!"

"I knew you would!" Toby shouted, running in circles.

"Is he ok?" I asked, LJ.

"He's fine, he gets like this sometimes." Was his response. "Want some Kit Kats?"
