My eyes flew open and I jolted up right. My bones ached and I was on the cold hard ground in the tunnel. Arus was over to my left and he lay unconscious with blood dried on him. I crawled over to him and checked his plus. He was still breathing and his heart beat was normal. I looked around frantically and tried to pick him up.

Nope. He was too heavy. I tried to shove him up on top of me and I was able to sling him over my shoulders/back. I stood up and continued down the tunnel.

After 5 minutes of hauling him down the tunnel and him sliding off my back, making me shove him back on, I finally reached the end. I open the door and carried him through. The school was destroyed. I carried Arus around to the front and met a huge group of cars, students, ambulances, police and teachers all huddled around some people retrieving wounded people. Nothing looked major and when I walked up with Arus on my back the prince walked up to me with a angry face.

"JAY!! Where have you been?! Do you realize you are the only student who went missing?!" He was infuriated and shoot him a stern glare. I felt Arus begin to stir and I lay him down on the grass.

"What about Arus? Didn't you know he was missing?" I asked calmly. I didn't want to get in trouble.

"He was no concern to us."

"Why do you care about me so much and not him?"

He paused and opened his mouth to speak but a medic walked up behind him and shoved him out of the way and bent down beside Arus.

"Why is this kid not being cared for?! Your a principle!" She said to him sternly and he shut his mouth and looked down. She examined him and signaled for others to come with a stretcher. They loaded him in and they beckoned me to follow.

I walked past the principle and followed Arus more concerned for my new friend that a detention.

We got into an ambulance and drove off to the hospital along with two others who where in different ambulances. They inspected him and asked me some questions.

"Is he of relation to you miss?" Asked the female medic. She had long red hair and a kind face.

"No I just met him today."

"Okay. So where where you two?"

I stopped and thought, should I tell her the truth about the tunnels? Would she believe me? Couldn't hurt to say. "Umm well.... There are tunnels underneath the school and we were in those when the tornado hit."

"Yes. I know of the tunnels. Don't worry I won't tell." She winked and sat down on a bench in the ambulance. "Well your friend is okay, he's just knocked out."

I nodded gratefully to the nurse and we rode on in science to the hospital.
