I walked towards them. I tried to look clueless and tried even harder not to roll my eyes when Rhonel's gaze met mine.

"A-angel." Mhiel obviously got startled.

"Everything alright?" I asked

"Yeah. What's that?" Mhiel said, facing me. Trying to look cool but wrapped up with red skin on his face.

"Here. Let's eat." Inabot ko ang plate ng pasta sa kanya while catching his gaze when he literally avoiding to do.

"I better go back inside." Paalam ni Rhonel na halatang nailang na sa presensya ko. I just arched my eyebrows and fake a smile as he glanced at me even after turning his back on us.

"You okay? You look odd." I said nang makalayo si Rhonel.

"I'm fine." Tumingin si Mhiel sa pinanggalingan ko then back to me as he lead me to the swing again. "What took you so long?" He said in crumpled forehead.

"No reason. Just that." Nguso ko sa food. "Namiss mo naman ako agad." Joke ko.

"You decorate it? Seriously?" He said, looking pleased at the pasta.

I pressed my lip and lift my eyebrows when he smirked and mock me. Ok, I cannot lie about it.

"Actually, I d-..."

"Mhiel?" Tawag ni Tita Lhyzza mula sa may harapan ng bahay.

"We're here." He answered. "Come on." Tumayo sya and assist me. "I love what you did to this." He smiles.

He felt glad about what Rhizza had done to that pasta. Noted.

"What were you two doing out there?" Tita Lhyzza took my hand and pull me to walk beside her.

"Having our monthsary date?" Mhiel said softly with a chuckle. Taking the juice from my hand.

"Oh, I'm so sorry..." natatawang sabi ni Tita. "Nakaistorbo na naman ako." She giggled.

"Joke lang po yun." Umiling akong natatawa kay Tita. Telling her to ignore Mhiel. She lead me to the stairs and i started to wonder nang magstop kame sa isang kwarto and she opened the door. Lumabas agad si Aling Betina.

"It's Raphael. He won't sleep anymore. I thought maybe you two want to see him."

"Hey buddy..."

My eyes followed Mhiel the moment he walked past us and went inside to reach a little boy. Ok, he's not so little. I think he's a 12 or 13. Only skinnier.

"He's Mhiel's younger brother. He's -.."

"Special." Dugtong ko. "Nabanggit na po sya ni Mhiel sa akin, one time." Malumanay kong sabi.

"Did he, really?" Bumakas sa mukha ni Tita Lhyzza ang gladness from what she heard.

"Opo." I smiled.

"Mhiel is very close to him. We wanted him to take Marine Engineering last time but he chose your course because of him. Come."

Niyaya ako ni Tita na pumasok sa loob. The bedroom is different from a regular one. It's like a nursery room or rather, a daycare centre, only it has nothing but A plain powder blue wall paper and a flat screen tv hanging a little higher on the wall. A single bed without frame and plastic boxes full of colorful stuffs inside. Mhiel is already sitting beside Raphael, watching him draw.
