We Good?

—Day after last chapter—
Ash's POV
   I walk up to the door and knock lightly. Me and Max were gonna play a few video games like Fallout 4, Undertale, and I'm also going to force him into playing Assassin's Creed. Why? 'Cause it's fun! We're also doing this to clear up a few things...
   The door opens, revealing a GladMax.
   "Come on in Ash!" he says happily. I give a happy smile as I walk in and drop myself on the couch.
   "I'll be back in a sec," Max tells me before he heads down the hall. As soon as he enters his room, Ross exits his own. In a tuxedo. With a rose.
   "Woah-ho-ho-O!! Does Ross have a date?" I raise my eyebrows, putting on a shocked face.
   "Y-yeah." he mumbles.
   "With Rosa?" I ask smugly. It was just so obvious.
   "M-maybe." he whispers. I sigh.
   "Dude! You're obviously nervous! Just tell me, what's the problem?" I reassure him.
   "I'm afraid she won't say yes," Ross admits.
   "To what? It's not like you two are getting married or anything." I say.
   "Say yes to being my girlfriend," he looks in my eyes.
   "She really likes you a lot. Just don't be a moron, and everything'll be alright. Or a bitch. Or a bastard. Or a d—" he cuts me of.
   "I think I got it!" Ross chuckles. He sighs again.
   "To help calm my nerves, and Barney's too, we made a double-date."
   "Is he going with Bri?" I ask, already knowing the answer. He nods. Max comes back from his room and gives me some money.
   "Did you guys bet on us?" Ross wonders, looking from Max to me, and back again.
   "Maaayybeeee..." we say, large grins on our faces.
   "The rest of the offices still have their money bet on when you two go out." he laughs evilly.
   "Wait, what now?" me and Max look at Ross angrily. He backs up.
   "Nothing," he gives out his own grin.
   "Later."
   "Try to survive."
   "Yay! Ross is leaving!"
   "Wow, I feel so appreciated!"

   We had finished doing Fallout 4, so me and Max had moved on to Undertale. But I still had wanted to play Assassin's Creed, so we finished up Undertale and moved into my game. Surprisingly, almost only two hours had past. Also, surprisingly, Ross wasn't back yet. Probably getting in the romance business or something.
   "Dammit!" I yell, tossing my controller to the side.
   "Ash?" Max asks, placing his controller to his left.
   "Yeah?" I say, looking over at him.
   "You know why you're supposed to be here right?" he asks. I nod.
   "Why have you been so weird around me?" This was the question I wasn't very ready for, so I chose my words carefully.
   "Listen, I'm sorry for any damage I've done. I've just been thinking about a lot over stuff, 'kay? You're not the cause of any of this." I apologize. That, was a lie. He was the cause of my thoughts. Because I just had to have a crush on him. He nods understandingly.
   "There's something else though."
   I stare at my shoes, they suddenly became oh-so-very interesting.
   "Ash." Max says sternly.
   I look up into his eyes.
   "Yeah?"
   "There's something else." he furrows his eyebrows. I sigh, looking back at my shoes.
   "I-I'd rather not say..."
   He sighs and shakes his head, scooting closer to me on the couch.
   "Ash." Max says, just as stern as before. I switch my gaze back to Max, once again.
   "Yes?" I ask. He places his hands on my shoulders.
   "Will you go on a date with me?"
   Any hint of nervousness in his voice that was there previously, was gone now. I was shocked. He liked me back? Was this for pity? Did he care? Is he just handing over his sympathy? Whatever. I'm taking my chances, because I might never have this chance again.
   "Yes!" I squeal, pulling him into a tight embrace. I see a flash, and let go of Max. I turn to the doorway, seeing a super happy Ross.
   "How'd your date go?" Max wonders.
   "Guess who got a girlfriend? Ross did!" Ross cheers. Life is much better now! Definitely.
