Ace [P.O.V]

If you asked Jess, she would tell you it was the longest walk of my life.

If you asked Ace, he would tell you he just wanted to give up right there.

The way into the subway was the most hellish part. They both attempt to go down the stairs of the subway. Clinging to each other for balance. Neither could walk down properly on their own. The weight and size difference did not help. Jess passed out due to blood lost. Ace was surprised she stayed conscious as long as she did. He would tell her he was impressed by her, but not at the moment.

Without the help of Jess, Ace could go no further. Trying to be carefully, he laid Jess on the ashy floor, then slid down the side of the subway wall. All he wanted to do was curl up in a ball and go to sleep, but his concern prevented him closing his eyes for only a moment. Even if he wasn't concerned on falling asleep, his scratchy throat would be enough of a distraction to keep him awake.

Chase [P.O.V]

"Nick, that's enough!" Dale screeched as Nick threw another knife. Then he pointed another knife at Dale. "That's enough out of you pipsqueak," Nick breathed. Chase decided against saying anything when leaving the scene.

Nick and Dale's argument could be heard throughout the subway lines. If the government's army where anywhere near, we'd all be dead.  Chase sighed, he made a left towards one of the exits. He couldn't help but play with the black ring on his middle figure of his right hand. I miss them. He smiled at another memory, when he noticed Ace wearing a black ring on the same place. Chase always found Ace's name humorous. As well as the white ring reflected on the other hand and the fact of his weapon of choice.

Then Chase stopped when he noticed blood.  He immediately became wary, but possibility it was Ace or the new girl, he continued forward.  The sound of scratching became notable. Slowly turning around the corner, seeing Ace breathing frantically and the new girl unconscious, Chase was quick to action.

Chase carefully helped Ace from the wall, Ace became a coughing fit in the action. Ace kept on pointing at the new girl weakly, "I'll be back for her," is all Chase could say after looking at the girl in a such a weak state.

Chase gave a worried look to his friend, Ace seemed too out of it to even notice. The two continued to stumble along the route to the hideout. Ace immediately perked up when he heard the arguing.

When Chase and Ace came into the area of argument there became a moment of solitude started when Ace wearily told everyone to stop arguing. Then Anne ran over to her brother, ripping him out of Chase's grip, this causing another fit of coughing. Ace gave Chase a look, screaming GO GET HER.

Chase then turned his heel to go back for the new girl. I really need to learn her name.

He found her the same as he left her. Cautiously picking her up, he carried her back to the hideout. Quickly Dale ran over to her, helping Chase set her down, Dale made sure Chase was extra careful. Chase found it sweet how this boy pinned over this girl. He would just tell Dale to just go for it, but then Chase himself would be hypocritical, considering he seemed to find himself in the same situation with Alex.

Chase's attention turned to Ace when he's coughing increased in volume, he's worry increased as well when specks of blood became visible. Chase was enraged when Nick didn't even look at Ace or the girl; (un)luckily, all of Anne's attention was focused on her brother, or Nick would have hell to pay.

Chase's attention turned back to the girl as she frantically woke up. He watched as she pushed Dale away instinctively, He wished he didn't have to watch Dale's hurt face, it was even more painful to watch as the boy so quickly hide his emotions.

Then a sneering voice spoke, "ain't that sweet, yo young 'uns so concern 'bout yo kin," Jin was going for the good old stereotypes of how any imperfection talked. Nick respectfully told her, "Shut up you motherfucking cunt," honestly they sounded like disrespectful children that gave concern about how the next generation turned out.

Chase then noticed it was now just Jin, Nick, and himself. This shall be fun.

"Must be all fun and games being a Perfection," Nick was baiting her to say something, to start more argument.

"Much better than the sickening life of a Imperfection," Jin bragged.

"If anythings sickening, it's you Perfections," Nick barked.

"Are you joking, you're the Imperfection, it's even in the name, you'll never be perfect," Jin jeered.

"If we're so imperfect why aren't you sad, oh wait, you're incapable of feelings other than hate," Nick vocalized his thoughts.

"Why would Imperfections be any of my concern," Jin snarled.

"Why is anything of your concern?" Chase was done with hearing them bicker.

"What?" She said oh so formally.

"People are concerned about things that are wrong, neither of you aren't concerned about each side, because you are both blinded to your own side, you listen to what you're told about Perfections and Imperfections, stupidly listening," Chase told her, finally to look her in the eye, then quietly left the room. Ignoring the shouts of the two, directed at him this time.

Chase really didn't know why he stayed with all these bickering children and just leave for the Free City.
