Chapter 7 [ Jin ]

Jess [P.O.V]

It's been a few weeks, since I came here. Nothing important has happen lately. I haven't seen Ace at all, Alex and Chase have been fooling around. Anne is always in her room, yah you heard me, room. She gets her own room! Well I'm have to listening to the boys snore, and Alice mumble crazy stuff, or scary stuff. Then there's Nick, driving me insane, he takes any chance to annoy me. I try not to get bothered by it, but it's to difficult. It's like he was born, just to annoy me.

I've been hanging with Alice and Dale. I discovered Dale is a large nerd. Yesterday he was working on his watch, he said he had to fix the bugs, and add a 'transfer window installer' or something like that. Technology isn't my thing.

I felt like I'm apart of this group already. The others told me little about themselfs. Turns out Anne and Ace are twins, not identical. No one else has said anything informational about their pasts, I haven't for good reason, but I wonder sometimes.

Speaking of the group, I'm going on my first mission tomorrow, I'm scared, excited, and worries what's going to happen, what if I die? Well I don't think I have the choice, to go or not.

Jin [P.O.V]

My alarm clock blazed though my room. Waking me from my dreamless sleep. Like anyone has dreams anymore. Dreams were suppressed 80 years ago. Our government didn't want anyone to change into one of those freaks.

I pulled off my white covers, and got out of my bed. I looked in to the mirror, like I do everyday. I grabbed my hair brush, and tooth brush, and freshen myself up. I tied my hair back into a ponytail. I changed out of my pyjamas and looked into my closet. I picked out black leggings and a grey shirt. Then I grabbed a pair of white tennis shoes.

I walked out, and closed the door behind me. Coming down the white stairs, with fancy carvings on the side. Making my way to the kitchen, eating the airless food pills, and drank a glass of water.

I checked the holo-screen there was one message. I tapped on play. An image of my father popped up. "Hey honey, I'm going to be a few days later than expected. See you soon." My father ended. I sighed. Another time my father is late.

I got a bottle of water. I was about to leave and go to the gym. Someone was in front of me, stopping me.
"And where do you think you're going?" She asked. "The gym. Like everyday at 9 o'clock." I said nonchalant. "Well then you can miss a day." Daphne said. Friends since 9.

"I'm going to the gym." I look Daphne straight in the eye. "Noo, you're coming with me, and you're going to help me pick a dress, for something special coming up." She said. Catching my interest with the words, something special coming up.

"What's so important?" I asked Daphne. "Nothing you need to know about." She said way to joyful. "Alright." I stared at her.

"Great! Now come with me!" Daphne cheered. Surprising me when she started to drag me down the street. I looked back my house, it got farther and farther. I knew I had no choice in coming, when Daphne has her mind stuck on something. Someone's in trouble. Mainly me. A hovercraft flew by us, messing up Daphne's hair. She reacted fast, and brushed her hair with her hands. The way Daphne was going, I could tell we were heading for her house.

I sat on Daphne's bed, well Daphne was rummaging through her clothes. I'm really not in to the types of clothes Daphne is into. So this is a tad boring. At least I only have a few more mouths than I can join the army. I plan to be my father's rank 'Right Hand General ' when I'm old enough. I want to protect the people from the monsters called Imperfections.

"Jin! Jin! Jin! Jin!" Daphne yells at me. "What!" I yell back. Not knowing if it's an emergency, or she's just being Daphne. "Are you even paying attention?" She asked friend angry. "Of course I am, now what!" I asked. "Oh really, your paying attention, you might want to look behind you." She said. I looked behind me. What's behind me. I didn't see anything behind me, I looked back at Daphne, confused. She pointed past me, to the floor. I looked on the floor on the other side of the bed.

My shirt was caught in the floor vacuum!!

After fighting with the vacuum to get my shirt back, my shirt took serious damage. I looked at the back of my shirt, it was in treads. Nononononono this can not be happening! I look like an imperfection! I looked back at Daphne, worried look on my face. She looked like she got an idea. I'm doomed.

What happened was Daphne kicked me out of her house. Leaving me to fend for myself, and make sure no seen me. I have to go the long root, because the root I normally take is always busy. I'm going to kill Daphne after this!

The long root is sadly where imperfections were sighted. I sneaked around the buildings making sure I wasn't spotted. No one comes around here much, it's been her since the Imperfections War. I heard small whispers as I got to the side of a brick building. I peeked around, and saw them in a land filling. IMPERFECTIONS!

There was 8 of them talking, and ready to leave. There was a girl with red hair and a bow, next to a boy with red hair with a bow on his back, both had quivers, with only a few arrows. There was 2 guys farther away, that I couldn't see. The guy next to the 2 redheads was a male with a bat. Trialling behind was 2 girls, that looked a few years younger than everyone else.

I stayed were I was waiting till they left. I could go home, but if I stay here, if I can get in there. I could find out there plans, then when they come back, I could report them, if I do, I might as well get an honours badge right now.

Jess [P.O.V]

Everyone was getting a recap of the mission. Nick being the annoying jerk he is, locked me in a closet. Now I have no idea what to do. When I get out of here, I'm going to bet the crap out of Nick. I was banging and screaming, in hopes someone heard me. No one heard me. It was to small to move around, and I couldn't pick any locks, because the lock was on the other side. Then I hear the lock click. I fall out on the face next. I look up at Nick smiling like an idiot. WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON HIM!!! I silently stood up, giving the death glare to Nick. Not looking away from Nick. I breathed in and out, very loudly.

"Mind telling me why you locked me in a closet?" I said slowly and angrily. "Hey, be glade I let you out. I could have left you there. Sadly you have to go. Well I'm stuck here, with Dale." He said looking annoyed. I just speed walked past Nick, not even looking at him. I walked into the main room. Matt, Chase, Alex, Anne, Alice, Dale, Ace, we're in the room, and Nick trailing behind me.

"Where were you? You missed out on the whole recap. We have to go now." Anne said. Everyone was ready to go. They started to leave. I took a look at Dale and Nick. I hope nothing bad happens to Dale well I'm gone.

Yah! New chapter! Sorry I haven't been updated lately, schools back, people get busy. Plus I have another book to update.
