Cassia slept peacefully under the warmth of the sun coming from her open bedroom window. So peaceful. Bright and early. She turned over on her side and opened her eyes. She realized that it was a very important morning so she sat up, stretched her arms, and just as she was about to get out of bed, her alarm clock went off. Her phone was connected to her speaker so it was extra loud. Loud enough to cause her to scream, tangle her foot in the blankets, and fall over on the floor. "What a wonderful morning." She glared at the floor in front of her with her cheek implanted on to the ground. She groaned, got up, and ran outside into the warm environment.
"I'm home. Good morning Cathy." Cassia greeted her best friends mother as she walked into their warm home. "Morning Cass. Can you wake up Calum? He won't answer me when I try. And um...interesting outfit?" Cassia smiled. She smiled as she imagined what she was wearing at the moment: sweat pants, long lacey black cardigan, white sports bra, and a flower crown. She laughed and replied, "Yee," as she ran up the stairs.
"RISE AND SHINE PRETTY BOY!" Cassia yelled as she kicked open the door to her best friends, Calum, bedroom door. She ran over to the bed and jumped on top of the figure sound asleep. Well he wasn't sound asleep anymore. He groaned and squinted into the eyes staring down at him. He smiled and said, "I hate you," as he leaned up to place a kiss on to her lips causing her to giggle. Suddenly they hear footsteps coming towards them, so Cassia rolled off of him, and sat on the chair next to his bed. In a very awkward position. Then his mom walked in. She stared at Cassia for a moment, then Calum face palming, then at Cassia who smiled at her, then Calum who was still face palming, then at Cassia who smiled and waved at her, then back at Calum. Who was still face palming. "Okay. I'm not gonna ask. I was just gonna tell you that Cass' mom wants you guys for breakfast in 5. So hurry up. And by the way if you guys are dating then you can just tell me Jesus." And with that Calums mom shut the door. "WhatthehellwASTHAT?" Calum looked at Cassia still sitting awkwardly as he tried to process exactly why she was doing something so incredibly tacky. "Sorry. I'm awkward. It was a reflex." Cassia sighed, walked over to the door, and closed her eyes. Calum walked over to her and whispered, "You ready for boarding school?" He smiled and placed his hands on her waist. "Also. Why don't we just tell my mom already? Why do we have to keep this a secret?" He asked. She looked into his eyes, let her head fall on to his chest, and replied, "I have a boyfriend Calum. You know that." Calum sighed and embraced her into a tight hug. "Come on Cass. What boyfriend?" Cassia opened her eyes and thought about what he said. What boyfriend...
