My Death Note

Chapter 6

     It had been a month after N took me out on a date. I'm no longer a suspect in the Kira investigation. N continues to bug me by asking me out on more dates. I always say yes so that I am sure that I am staying off the suspect list. Ryuk and I are still deeply in love. Oh and I only have 4 weeks till I tell Ryuk to end me by saying disappear. That pretty much sums up what happen during the month. Okay so today I just woke up. Ryuk looks down at me in his arms and I gently peck his lips.
      We smile at each other. Then we plan out what I am going to do today. We finally agree on something. I start to write in my Death Note. Then I get ready to go to work. When I am dressed I head to the new meeting place. We nearly got attacked by the new Kira worshippers. How they found us I wonder.... Anyways I totally told everyone. When I get to the new meeting place everyone is crowded around the tv. What's going on I think when Ryuk quietly nudged me towards the tv.
It was a Kira video but not one of mine. There is a second Kira now. I wonder who could it be. The video said "Hello world I am the second Kira! No one has yet to catch me! I was the first second Kira! I want Kira to know that the path he or she leads down is dangerous. I would like to meet you new Kira as soon as possible. See you then..." The broadcast then ended. Everyone stared at each other and even I said "MISA!" It seems Misa was still upset about Light's death.
      Everyone went over the situation as we talked when I asked a question. "N why did you think I was Kira?" I asked out of pure curiosity. The room got deadly silently and Matsuda covered his face with a pillow. N said "Well for one you get straight A's not an A- on your record. Second of all the first victims were sex offenders and rapists. We digs bit deeper and found that there crimes involved kids. Out of the 800 about 179 of them got you as a victim. So you had more reason to be Kira than others."
I shrugged by shoulders blinking away fake tears and said "Okay makes sense." N looked at me with sad eyes and everyone else practically was waiting for me to cry. I then look away from everyone and say "Well I am going to get going. My friend and I are having game night tonight." Everyone says bye except N. When I leave N follows me. I stop and turn to look at him. His eyes were slightly red and his cheeks were wet. 'Good my plan is working' I think silently to myself. N tried to hold back the sniffles as he spoke.
"I'm sorry E! I'm so-so-sorry for thinking you could be Kira! I love you!" He said. 'Shit! He's fallen really hard!' I think. I gently wipe the tears from his eyes and say "I know." Then I walked away and he yelled good bye. I just waved keeping my anger inside till he was out of sight. I yelled in anger than walked into Ryuk's opened arms. He held me gently for a while before releasing me from his grip. I wasn't feeling good all of a sudden and fell to the ground. Everything went black.

I woke up and realized I was in a hospital bed. Ryuk, N, the guys, Katelin, my family, and a strange woman stood around me. I let in a deep breath and everyone sighed. I tried to talk but all that came out was choking sounds. "Ssssh don't speak yet you've been out for three days." The strange woman said. I bolt up and remove myself from the machines. As I get out of the bed my legs collapsed underneath me. My mother cried and my stepdad held her my real dad just smiled wickedly. What was wrong with me?
A doctor came in the room as N helped me up and into the hospital bed. The doctor told me everything that was wrong with me. In all of what she said two things stuck out at me I had terminal cancer and 10 months to live. I nodded my head and everyone left the room except N. I croak silently as I say "I know your real name N. It's Nate River."He smiles gently tears streaming down his face and nods his head. I fake a happy smile and say "Can you please leave and tell that woman to come in here."
      He nods and in comes the woman. I clear my throat and say "You can take off the disguise now Misa Amane." She smiles and takes of the latex mask and impressive wig. She said "So you're Kira?" I nod and say "Keep your voice low my family is nosy." She nods in understanding and said "Did you make the deal?" I nod my head no and said "I knew I only had a year left so why make it six months?" She stared at me in shock and said "How do you now you're lifespan?"
      "Well I fell in love with a Shinigami and he loves me to." I say. Misa thinks for a moment and then says "Can I see him?" I nod and say "Ryuk do you have my Death Note on you?" He nods his head yes and holds the pages out for Misa to touch. She saw him and said "Long time no see scum rat." Ryuk smiled and said "Hello Misa. How's your life going? I promise you it's a long life." She frowned and said "I forfeit the Death Note."
