Sunlight filtered through my window, and I jumped out of bed. Reaching for my phone, I checked to see if last night was a dream.

It wasn't.

"Cassie! Get in here now!"

I heard her stumbling across the floor, probably still half asleep. My door slammed open.

"Where's the fire?" she asked frantically.

I held out my phone, open to last night's messages.

"I figured out why he looked so familiar. And now I'm freaking out. Cassie, what am I supposed to do?" I started pacing as she scrolled through the thread.

"No. Freaking. Way! Is he serious? How did you get so lucky?"

"Cassie! I need help! So settle down!" I sighed as she sat next to me on my bed. "You know I'm like his biggest fan. How am I supposed to get over that to be his soulmate?"

"Baby steps. Oh, by the way, I sent him a message for you." She dropped the phone and scrambled out of my room.

"You did WHAT?"

'Me: Good morning! ;)'

"Cassie! You better run!"

'Tom: That was an unexpected wake up.'

'Me: Probably because that was Cassie. I asked her to make sure I wasn't seeing things, and as she scrolled through our messages, she apparently sent another one.'

'Tom: So I can tell you're a fan. I can practically hear the freaking out in your words. Who's your favorite character of mine?'

'Me: I hope you know I'm trying to calm my fangirl tendencies, because it'd be rude to treat you like that. And definitely Loki.'

'Tom: Thank you for your thoughtfulness. And he was certainly a fun role to portray.'

'Me: What time do your plans start?'

'Tom: I've got half an hour. I get out around noon. We could grab some lunch, if you'd like a break from Cassie.'

'Me: Sure. When and where?'

'Tom: There's a little cafe in Westminster not far from where I'll be today. They make amazing burgers, and I'm friends with the owner. Is that okay?'

'Me: Burgers sounds good. See you later!'

'Tom: Excellent. I'll send you the address.'

"Cassie! You're forgiven. Now get up here and help me choose an outfit!" I shouted.

I barely had time to blink before she was by my side.

"Outfit for what, exactly?" she asked hopefully.

"Lunch with Tom. Small cafe in Westminster," I answered, digging through my wardrobe.

"Emma, have I mentioned how lucky you are? And that shirt looks good on you."

"Only a few thousand times. What about with these shorts?" I pulled out a sky blue shirt and dark jean shorts to test them together.

"Yes. Can I braid your hair?" I agreed to Cassie's request, and set down the outfit to go have a bite of breakfast.

Two hours later, I hailed a cab, reading off the address and settling into my seat.

I had a date with Tom Hiddleston. I was soulmates with Tom Hiddleston.

I couldn't hide my grin.
