"Where am I!?"

Annabeth frantically pulled at the rope around her hands, then when that wouldn't work she tried the rope around her feet-- no success. She had been trying to escape for the past 10 minutes after waking up on some weird ship. Though she was about to give up when...

"Why, poor little Annabelle." a voice scoffed, "According to my reports you'd have been able to escape the moment you found yourself in this little position. It seems as though my resources were wrong."

"Screw you!" Annabeth snapped, "Release me at once!"

Unending laughing filled the room, sending a chill down Annabeth's spine. This person, or, demigod, could only be one person.

He stepped out of the shadows, coming into view. He had an eyepatch, a scar, and a wicked smirk across his face.

Jackassn.

Whoops, sorry, Jackson.

"Now why would I wanna release you?" Jackson hissed, scrunching up his nose. Hey, that made him look kind of cute...

No! Bad Annabeth!

Slowly he stepped towards her, gently placing a finger under her chin, lifting it so she met his eyes.

"You're on a mission to kill me, and I know you won't stop until you succeed."

"How do you know that? Maybe you have the wrong girl."

"Oh on the contrary my dear, sweet girl." in one swift move he moved up his hand, slapping her hard across the face.

"I have exactly the right girl."

Annabeth clenched her teeth, keeping her head turned away from him. She couldn't let on that it had hurt; showing weakness wasn't an option.

"What drives a person to commit what you have done?" Annabeth breathed.

"I'm sorry, what?"

Slowly her head creaked towards his direction, her eyes narrowed.

"Why do you do what you do?"

"Excuse me?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Murder, steal, wreak havoc. You even sacrificed one of your own crew members. How heartless are you?"

"Less than you think..." he whispered under his breath.

"Sorry?" she frowned.

"Nothing, nothing." Jackson snapped. "I do what I must, but I also do what I want. Please little Annie, don't think of me as a villain. Think of me more as an... anti-hero. Yes, yes that sounds quite fitting."

"Do you even know what the hell an anti-hero is?"

"No, not really."

She opened her mouth.

"Tell me what an anti-hero is and you're going straight to the ocean."

Asshole, I'm a mermaid. Couldn't drown me if-- wait. Nope, nevermind.

"Uhm. What a nice wall..." Annabeth hummed, looking over at a wall.

"I see the reports of you being smart were wrong as well..."

"Whatever! Can you just shut up and release me!?"

Jackson frowned, "But where's the fun in that?"

"Fine!" Annabeth snapped, "Don't release me, and face the wrath of my kingdom!"

He simply scoffed at her threat, wandering over towards a window. He stared out of it, watching the waves of the ocean go up and down up and down. The little ripples of the water put him in a trance.
