Chapter 2 The Sorting

Albus and Scorpius walked towards a boat with a pair of twins in, Rose (Begrudgingly) was pulled into another boat by 2 girls who had said "You don't want to sit with THEM dear,"

"Hey," said twin 1

"Hi," said Albus

"I'm Anguis Thomas," Said twin 1

"Albus  Potter." Smiled Albus

"Scorpius Malfoy, call me Scorp though." Said Scorpius

"Hey Scorp Though I'm Leo Thomas!" Grinned Twin 2

He winked at them.

"What house do you reckon you'll be in?" Asked Scorpius

"I dunno honestly my dads Dean Thomas he was in Gryffindor and my mums Pansy Parkison, I never see her though coz she ran away when she saw Anguises face." Grinned Leo

"We could go anyway.... I'm called Anguis it means snake because of my mum and Leo means Lion coz of our Dad." Explained Anguis

" I want to be in Slytherin, so does Al" replied Scorpius

Before anyone could reply Hogwarts came into view. Albus gasped it was what he had dreamed of and  more! Tall towers 2 Quidditch pitches. A massive lake (Which they were sailing along) and a tall dark looming Forrest. They walked up to the castle in awe, this was going to be amazing, and they followed  Professor Longbottem to the great hall upon which he stopped and said

"Greatings all, this is HOGWARTS, The finest school in witch craft and wizardry in Britain. You will walk through these doors and be sorted into on of the four houses, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravinclaw and Hufflepuff. Once you are sorted into your house you can't be resorted. You house will be like your home, and you housemates like your family. Do well to remember that. Just because someone in your family was here befor you and was sorted into a house doesn't mean you will have  a spot in it. Follow me first years!"

On a stool sat a hat it opened its mouth and sang:

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,

But don't judge on what you see,

I'll eat myself if you can find

A smarter hat then me.

You can keep your bowlers black,

Your top hats sleek and tall,

For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat

And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head

The Sorting Hat can't see,

So try me on and I will tell you

Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,

Where dwell the brave at heart,

Their daring, nerve and chivalry,

Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff

Where they are just and loyal,

Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,

And unafraid of toil;

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,

If you've a ready mind,

Where those of wit and learning,
