Spiritus waits anxiously for the dead of night, leaving anxiously he sets off for the mans hut to save Blossom. He trot quietly and elegantly in the shadows, movement that would just catch your eye. He was a shadow himself, moving inbetween the ghostly gum trees, crossing trickles of streams. As he comes upon the ridge that looks down into the mans hut he watches cautiously. His blue eyes twinkling, the Mans light was off and only silence could be heard except for the faint coo of an owl. Spiritus treks down the slope to the back of the hut where the precious filly was waiting. He moves with grace and floats above the ground as he comes to her fence. They greet quietly, Spiritus could sense her nervousness.
"Come with me, leave the man behind" he nicked
" I want to!" She replys.
"Jump the fence and we can run in the wind"
Blossom trots into the corner of her paddock before setting her self at a fast canter.
"Now" spiritus neighs, and she launches herself into the air and clears the fence. She lands and slows herself down next to Spiritus they rub necks.
One of the mans stock horses starts neighing loudly and the hut light turns on.
" quick!" Spiritus paws and together they gallop off up the hill.
"I'll catch you yet, you devil!" The man shouts.
As they canter back to the secret valley, Spiritus notices how noisy Blossom is and they have to stop frequently as she tires.
" you have lots to learn, you must tred quietly and your fitness will gain everyday!" Spiritus nickers to her.
They begin the trek down spiritus secret valley and dawn his prized mare comes and meets his new filly. They sniff noses.
"Honey here we teach you the things you need to know, here you are safe"
Spiritus still feeling anxious huddles with his mares before sleeping.
As the early morning light seeps into the valley, Spiritus is woken by a nip on the shoulder, he wakes to Hail.
"Spiritus what have you done bringing her here, you have put yourself in danger"
" I know brother, but I couldn't leave her with the man"
"She is a more prized mare than any in the high country for her beauty, you are foolish."
" she will have to stay In here, until she learns our ways"
" yes. Anyway good on you, you have won a victory but also a burden. I have come to tell you that I must bring my herd in as I can't have them out with man searching the high country"
" yes that's fine"
Spiritus looks at hails fine herd, they were certainly all beautiful mares. The next days of spring are spent peacefully, the two stallions were pleased with there herds and were out of trouble with The man, however they were still hunted and had to be cautious.
