"This piece is worth one quarter portion," he snarled. I heard a loud snarl coming from Rey as she took the portions from him. She came over to me with a cross look on her face.
"Only one quarter, unbelievable!" She exclaimed.
"Leave it up to me," I murmured. She gave me a glare and playfully shoved me towards the booth. Once I went up to the counter, I set the scrap of metal on top of the surface.
"Plutt, what can you get me today?" I asked, putting on my over-exposed smile on my face.
"One quarter portion!" He snarled once more and slammed his hand on the counter with the items.
I rolled my eyes, "Come on, Plutty. I think you can do better than that."
His eyes shot daggers into mine as I did the same. Before the silence overcame us, he sat another portion on there.
"Don't expect anymore," he snapped and turned away from me. I instantly grabbed them and sat them in Rey's hand.
"You're welcome," I say, wrapping my arm around her and messed up her hair. Her hand smacked mine and fixed her strands into place.
"I don't know how you always do it," she groaned.
"I fight back. You don't," I answered.
"But I don't want to start anything. Remember last time?" She added.
Memories of the guards trying to take me away, but I knocked them out popped into my head and a giggle escaped from my lips.
"If you asked me, it was worth it."
Once, we got back to our hut, I saw Rey marking another day on her wall. I don't know why she has hope that our family would come back. They left us here for a reason and they're not coming back.
"I can feel your stares," her voice spoke.
This usually happens. Almost everyday we argue about our somewhat of a family and how they're coming back, even though I think the opposite.
"I don't want to start this again," I said, resting my head against the hard, scraped up surface of a wall.
"Start what?"
I shut my eyes, trying to relieve the pain that's bursting in my skull, "It the same thing. You say how I'm a downer and I should think positive and I tell you that you're being a oblivious little girl like you usually are. Then you comment about how our year age difference doesn't mean I can boss you around, but obviously it does so you pout and walk off."
Of course she doesn't say anything. Instead, she walked away from me.
"Wow, already skipping to the end," I mumbled.
"Shh, I heard something," she hushed and ran off.
Nice. I'm alone.
I decided to lay down while waiting for Rey to come back. I wonder what she heard that made her run off. Who knows, she probably did that to get away from the conversation. Wouldn't surprise me any.
I must've drifted off because I felt someone shaking me, telling me to get up.
"Luna, get up. I have something to show you."
I groaned and flipped over, however, a certain sound caused my eyes to widen. My body instantly sat up and I looked over to see Rey with a- a droid next to her?!
"You bought a droid?!" I shouted at her. The droid spoke a foreign language to me that I couldn't reply to.
"He said that he's actually a BB8 unit astromech droid--"
I laughed, "He? It is just a droid!"
The "BB8 unit" squealed at me, which probably was a scowl. Great, I just offended it.
"Look, I didn't buy it. I found him with Teedo and I wasn't going to let him use the parts. He has important information to give. So he is going to stay here tonight--"
"Says who?" I exclaimed.
She gave me a stern look, "Says me. Now, he is going to stay here until morning. That's final."
Rey walked over to her bed and laid down, "Goodnight."
I chuckled, "Since when are you the one who makes orders around here?"
I didn't here a response from here. When I looked down to see the droid making noises at me, I just rolled my eyes and went to my bed. Just as I felt relaxation take over me as my eyes closed, I felt something nudge me. I opened my eyes to see the droid kept trying to roll on me.
"This is going to be a long night," I mumbled to myself.
