Arthur stood in front of the couch, arms crossed and scowl firmly set on his expression. Alfred stared at Arthur in surprise as he shut the door behind him. "Hey, Arthur... You okay?"

The Brit scoffed and rolled his eyes, dropping his arms by his side. "Oh, yeah. You only just told Gilbert, whom flaps his mouth to everyone, that you and I were together again; and having sex, no less!"

Alfred grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck as he stepped closer. "Sorry, Artie, it just slipped out. I didn't mean to tell him, I swear."

"You're such a bloke, I hate you!" Arthur yelled as he launched himself at Alfred. Alfred shouted in surprise as he fell backwards, arms tightly around Arthur's waist to keep the smaller male from getting hurt. "Of course you had to go spit out our secrets, you stupid yank!" Arthur smacked Alfred's chest, glaring down at him. "Maybe I shouldn't have let you do that or told you that we were lovers!"

"Aw!" Alfred pouted, rolling them over and nuzzling his nose into the crook of Arthur's pale neck. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to tell him! Don't say such mean things, babe!" Arthur laughed softly, returning Alfred's tight embrace. "I'll make sure he doesn't tell anyone else!"

Arthur kissed Alfred's head. "Good... You make it so hard to stay mad at you."

The cyborg grinned, lifting his head to look into Arthur's eyes. "Good! I dun' want you to stay mad at me!" He shuffled up and pecked Arthur's lips. "Love ya!"

"I love you, too." Arthur wrapped his arms around Alfred's shoulders and pulled him down for another, longer kiss.

Alfred chuckled. "I think it'd make sense if I told you something that Gilbert told me not to tell you." Arthur blinked, then frowned, knowing it was something he really wouldn't like. "Tomorrow, two or three brain surgeons are coming in to help Gilbert install stuff in my head."

"What!?" Arthur gripped the back of Alfred's jacket. "That's dangerous, that could kill you, or mess up your head, or-"

"Or help get my memories back." Arthur stared up into Alfred's bright blue eyes. "Gilbert said it could help my memories come back. And it'll make me more efficient and a better overall agent. I'll be the best weapon anyone could have. But... If it fails, it fails."

Arthur gulped, tears in his eyes. "But... I just got you back, Alfred..."

The American leant down and gently kissed Arthur. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. If I could do something about it, I would, but I can't tell Gilbert no." Arthur nodded, looking down.

"Alright."

Arthur sighed, standing across the hall from the Tech Lab doors. He heard conversing on the other side after he stood in silence for what felt like several hours. He straightened himself up as the doctors stepped out, shortly followed by Gilbert.

Gilbert grinned, waltzing up to Arthur with his hands in his pants. "Success! Alfred is awesome! However, he isn't allowed to move around much for about a week or two." Arthur nodded, anxiously bouncing on his feet. "Oh, he's awake. You can see him if-"

Before the Prussian could finish, Arthur was already rushing into the lab. The Brit dashed towards the back and opened the door. Alfred rolled his head and smiled at Arthur. "Hey, babe."

Arthur returned the smile, shutting the door behind him. "Hey. You're okay."

Alfred chuckled, taking Arthur's hand. "Yeah... But I'm not remembering anything from before I died."

The Brit hummed, weaving his fingers through Alfred's and sitting on the edge of the bed. "Maybe it'll come over time," he suggested, running his free fingers through Alfred's hair. "Maybe it won't come at all. That's okay, Al. I'm just glad I have you back." Alfred grinned up at Arthur and gently pulled him down for a hug. Arthur chuckled, carefully embracing Alfred. "I love you."

Alfred kissed Arthur's head. "I love you, too."

"What're you doin'?" Alfred yawned, sitting up on their shared bed.

Arthur smiled and kissed Alfred's forehead. "Just getting some tea. I can't sleep and tea helps sometimes. I'll be back in a couple minutes." Alfred nodded, yawning again before falling back on the pillows.

The Brit chuckled then left the room, shutting the door behind him. He hummed softly as he poured water into the tea kettle, then set it on the stove. As he waited for the tea to heat up, Arthur searched through his bookshelf.

He jumped, hearing a low thump coming from the bedroom. Arthur rolled his eyes, thinking Alfred hit the wall again. He poured himself a cup of steaming water, leaving the tea bag in the cup. He sat down on the couch and sipped at his beverage as he flipped through a book. After several minutes of looking through the book, Arthur set it down and swallowed the rest of his drink.

Arthur sighed, leaning back into the couch. Alfred had been resting for only three days, but he was already feeling impatient to do more things with the cyborg. Alfred had finally gotten his personality, but not a single memory returned. Arthur shook his head and stood. He placed his teacup in the sink, then lazily walked back to his bedroom. Arthur stretched and yawned before opening the door. "I'm back," he whispered in case Alfred was awake.

Then Arthur's eyes widened and his breath stopped. "No!" Arthur fumbled around the living area, tears in his eyes. He  then stumbled out of the dorm and dashed five doors down. He frantically knocked, then tucked his hands under his armpits.

Gilbert groaned opening the door. "Who the he- Arthur? What's wrong?"

"I-It's Alfred, he's not, I don't-"

Gilbert grabbed Arthur by his shoulders to hold him steady. "What's wrong with Alfred?"

Arthur sobbed softly, staring into Gilbert's eyes. "He's gone... I can't find him. Someone must have kidnapped him!"
